Props to all of you non-native English speakers. I saw many names throughout the thread and was surprised to learn how many of you weren't native English.

Estonian (native)
English (fluent)
Russain (basic)
Finnish (can understand)

I can allso understand most of the local dialects. They are really different of the main language.
Alltrough, the problem is that there is a big lack of the speakers of dialects as they're quite complicated
and there are no written rules.

Just English and Spanish both fluently. Since I'm in Texas, it is very useful although I'd love to learn German or French for the hell of it.

I'm a native English, fluent German and Italian speaker, have recently taken up Spanish, I hope I will reach the advanced level soon, as it is very much like Italian.

There was some saying about speaking few languages. Something like if you know two languages you are twice as a human.
I know three: German, English and Spanish. That's all for now.

Native English speaker, learning Spanish and a little German. It's really hard to remember much in several languages.
I really like Italian as well, I'm not sure I can handle this many.

English (midwest): Native
Spanish: been learning for about 5 years, I'd like to call myself fluent but not sure if I am. Let's just say that if I got plopped in spain randomly I'd be able to make it by with my Spanish but it would be a challenge.
Bought a book to start learning German... but then I also bought a vci-100 which I spend most of my time on

I'm American. I only speak English, and that with a Boston accent.

Though through work, learning more and more spanish everyday. Not something I'm particular working toward (I hate learning languages, even english grammar is something I really dislike) but it's most out of necessity.

Toevening I'm trying to get one language to work with another one to share and match results so that the user doesn't have to manually enter anything.
I guess one could argue that I'm trying to Sync them....

It is artificial by definition, but I would argue still fully qualifies as a language. I just believe that maybe the scope of how your professor qualifies a language may be narrow, but at the same time who am I to discredit him (I mean this with all seriousness).
The definition of a language is something boring professors from various universities across the world have been arguing about for decades. We had a couple of seminars on it and from now on I won't be defining anything as an official language without first seeing a peer reviewed paper haha.
