My cat threw up right on my left deck crossfader!!!!!

Lil son of a bitch threw up right on my fader. Cleaned it out, but

So now when I move the fader all the way down, it moves itself back up to about 25% makin it pretty hard to play to a Cued/queued track on the left deck without it being audible (killin my mixes yo)

Anyone have a good suggestion on how to clean it out without damaging the mixer even more?

Yes. Absolutely it has to be distilled. Go for lab-grade if possible. Normal water will completely ruin the circuits and will probably make the jogs rough as hell if it gets inside the spindle.

18.09.2013		Buy distilled water, lots of it, unplug your controller for at least some hours so the capacitors inside empty out, then just take the water and pour it into the fader. Turn your controller around and repeat. Then let it dry for a couple of days in a warm, dry place. That is if the carbon isn't already damaged.

It would be best if you could jet the water inside the fader while the controller is upside-down, so that the vomit remains don't go all over the board.

You can also do it with pure alcohol, just try to get it as pure as possible (98%)
