Recommend me some Dubstep.
Recommend me some Dubstep. Posted on: 11.11.2008 by kieran frearson I have been asked to make a mix for a friend with dubstep, and frankly, I do not know where to begin, since its not really my style of music. I LIKE it, and I have some stuff, but not that much. Its not my world so to say. I would like to get some more though, and I would like to make this mix for my dear friend (Its for his housewarming party in 2 months). I told him he can download some of the internet (there are plenty of mixes available online) but he just wants ME to make a mix haha Stubborn fuck! (Well, I do feel flattered!) So, could you people that are into the Dubstep recommend me some Dubstep? I dont mind if its dark or light, as long as it grooves! Thank you very much in advance! (In return, I will post the mix here, if its worth anything lol) Kind regards, Nemo | |

Augustine Mitzen 12.05.2013 | glad to see its not all skrillex and gay trance brostep round here this is going to be one of the best releases of this year http://soundcloud.com/commodo/space-cash |
Nereida Jasnoch 12.05.2013 | Can we revive this ? All the other genre threads are pretty good. I really like the dnb and deep house threads. Oh yeah, and I believe it's best we just post tunes and avert discussion https://soundcloud.com/srd-1/data-disconnection-black-box |
Matt Kane 25.10.2012 | moving this to the "recommend dubstep"-thread |

I really enjoy Rusko live, seen him 3 or 4 times at 2 or 3 different venues. Some more Rusko that I believe you might like: |
Lillia Datson 25.10.2012 | If you mean more high energy stuff....Slightly rusko-ee vibes. |

Ilana Enderson 23.10.2012 | been there mate trust me lol |
Debrah Arnaout 23.10.2012 | Could try Caspa and Ruskos Fabriclive mix |
Tatum Ansaldo 23.10.2012 | Have you tried High Rankin? Modern comedy dubstep right there. |
Ilana Enderson 23.10.2012 | It's not quite where's my money or something, but sort of the same vibe in a way imo (wobbles and all that). The old stuff is great, a lot of humour in it really and not to be taken seriously at all - can't say I care much for newer popular stuff. |
Tatum Ansaldo 23.10.2012 | You'd call that 'jump up'? For me that term entails high energy D&B, not laid back dubby dubstep. Not that those 2 aren't both really good tracks, btw. It's been ages since I've heard jahova. |
Ilana Enderson 23.10.2012 | Anyone mix more of the classic jump up sound? I'm talking the early Caspa/Rusko stuff - specifically things with a lot of Dub influence. A good example would be Radikal Guru - Strong Dub or of course Rusko - Jahova |
Jaye Walkington 02.10.2012 | Curious Kontrol He does dubstep, dnb, and stuff he really rocks |
Cindie Somoza 02.10.2012 | Didn't go through all 27 pages.... but some that MAY not have been mentioned... Rogue Tristam Savant Ajapai The Chillers Cutline Fantastic Mr. Fox Kode9 Loefah Meta (find Phoenix Down, holy crap!) Rustie (more glitch than dubstep, but still cool) Most of the other one's I've got in my list should've been covered! Digging, Rusko the most at the moment, his minimal mixed with large sounds on his new-ish record are just doing it for me. |
Clarinda Petrow 02.10.2012 | Normally i don't really like dubstep, as it's a bit tooo much for my ears ;D but this AD of Mercedes really kicked me off seat! |
Nereida Jasnoch 10.08.2012 | ^Wow dude A+ post there, way to help a bro out. itsbentheboy, I only listened to such music for a week or 3 but I believe you 'll like what I got too. Yea and the lyrics on this one... |

Glennis Bischoff 09.08.2012 | well... posting in this thread hoping to get some info... im looking for some edgy and rough dubstep. sharp wobbles, hard drops, and agressive lyrics. imagine hardcore/metal music and oldschool Dub having a baby. thats what im after. anyone able t helpme, even with my shabby descrobing skills? |
Werner Bile 17.06.2012 | Sorry, for posting so much in here but I just started listening to these guys and they've quickly become my favorite dubstep producers. They also have a shitload of free downloads on soundcloud. notixx |
Werner Bile 15.06.2012 | Figure was already mentioned, but here's the link to his site where he has the free downloads. There are quite a few good ones on there. Figure Free Downloads/ |
Werner Bile 14.06.2012 | ^^^good list^^^ I'd add to that: Mitis Eptic Diesel Ry Legit Zomboy Koan Sound Kill the Noise Knife Party those last two aren't exclusively dubstep, but check out "Bonfire" by Knife Party(Drumstep actually) and the Kill the Noise remix of "Spitfire" by porter robinson. actually, that one is drumstep too, but oh well, drumstep rules. and here's another free track at 110 bpm Flux Pavillion "Bass Cannon" (Lost Boys WDAGF 110 remix) Bass Cannon is a kind of overplayed, but people still go nuts for it and this is a damn good remix. |
Lorena Thobe 14.06.2012 | Here are some artists I like most: Vaski Dj Oblivion Dirty Talk Figure Rusko Skream Benga Nero Smilodon Toffler Borgore Nostalgia Excision Datsik Liquid Stranger Downlink Mimosa Beats Antique Calvertron Adroa Butch Clancy Antiserum Bar9 Hulk Mark Instinct Mantis Bassex Ajapai SPL Trolley Snatcha Doctor P Tremourz J.Rabbit Reid Speed Cyberoptics Just to name a few.... |

Werner Bile 14.06.2012 | For Hard Dubstep, you really can't go wrong with Mark Instinct. Check out some his stuff on soundcloud he's got some free downloads, including a track called "Apollo" that is a real banger. For softer stuff, I really dig Adventure Club. They also have a bunch of free stuff on soundcloud. Especially check out "Crave You", "rise and fall" and "Do I see Color". mark instinct Adventure Club |
