Techno, Tech House, House, Trance (old school) As we like to say in Scotland "Here's Meh" (Here I am). Now a little bit about myself. first started t hobby of Dj-ing way back in the late 90's, bought myself a Gemini Brand Vinyl set up. Had lots of fun and frustration learning the art. Never did any gigs as such, just a few house parties as I was quite the nervous shy type back then. Anyway, in the end I had to sell ll my gear and put the money towards the purchase of a car, for starting a new job in the big city. this I always regretted and for years after I still had the itch for dj-ing. Finally, I got a Pioneer CDJ setup last year and slowly getting back into the swing again. The only downside, is that I do not have the same free time as before to focus all my attention to the craft, due to work and family commitments. So far, I have got a few mixes on soundcloud (www.soundcloud.com/cool_hand_zook), feel free to check out and comment. also have just purchased Traktor, but having a few teething problems regarding initial setup. I believe I have said enough for now, looking forward to meeting you all until then, take care CHZ |
| Cole Maroto 22.05.2012 | hey djtt! i just found this site a few weeks ago and i'm really enjoying reading everyone's thoughts and advice. lots of great info and helpful peeps. i hope i can contribute a bit, but i'm always trying to learn so this site is great for that. i've been djing for a little more than 10 years off and on and just got into the digital dj realm a bit ago, first with traktor, then ableton, and now back to traktor. well, here's the info requested: 1. dj name: squidot 2. city: las vegas 3. music style: mostly house (deep, funky, prog, electro, tech, tribal, etc), hip hop, dnb, drumstep, dubstep, chillout/lounge, rock, and jazz. i would love to start adding odd little bits and samples from every genre really. lately i've really been digging the swinging jazz sounds that are being produced. sooo much groooooove!!!! |
