Been somewhat a Dj for about 15 years, almost all mobile, and had a really great times with it. After that "I was too old" and took a 10 year break. But, as it may happen, few months ago an old club-owner called and said "Dude, it's my last summer, I'm shutting down, how about a reunion-kinda thing?". This resulted in me byuing a kontroller, learning it in two weeks and boy was that a mistake.

So, a better kontroller (4Trak) is ordered, old one (Mixtrack Pro) is sold already (C'mon, it was almost two months old! Stuff's gotta move!) and I'm lost in the world of music, again.

I actually feel like 6-year old on christmasday, this is once again so much fun, relaxing and best of all, it's all for me and no-one else. What I mean is it's becoming a pressure-valve to release some steam generated from my job.

What I was surprised of maybe most, going digital gave me totally new possibilities, speeds things up, browsing, testing etc is so much faster! I can test-mix stuff way more digitally compared to for example vinyl which I'm also still playing.

Downside is, I have no problems nowadays to believe where my money goes...

But hey, only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys, right?

Hi there,
I am not a DJ, but have been in sound since the mid '60's.
I have recently become a dealer for Danley Sound Labs, and I have noticed that our systems, especially the subs, fly out of the door to DJ's, mainly large but small as well.
So, yes I am bias, but if you need some realistic advice, feel free to ask.
