haha thanks for the definitions but that's not really what i meant. i mean i don't really attempt to cater to any specific genre. I likes what i likes and i don't really care what it's called. There is stuff from all genres i really dig and stuff in all genres that really puts me off.

Hi mcneeezy, some dj's that I know get genres mixed up, they believe house is techno and so on. It is some what confusing even mp3 site(s) get there genres mixed up. It all falls into the catigory of electronic music, then you make your distictions from there by their bpms. Here is a little break down, hope this helps.
60–90 bpm — hip hop and dub
90–120 bpm — faster hip hop and big beats/trip hop
120–135 bpm — house
135–155 bpm — techno
155–180 bpm — drum and bass / jungle
180 + bpm — hardcore gabber and beyond

you are a drummer too?? nice!!!!!! I found that the control of the tempo on the drums is so good for dj'ing... so as I practice with a metronome on drums, also it's valid for controllerism practice and viceversa... it rules!! hahahaaaa

Code:Morse/Alex Morse

UK based in Athens

Most types of electronic, as long as it good

I lean a bit more toward the minimal/tech house these days
but love sprinkling some house breaks and prog over that, known to drop arias and classical bits here and there too tho, it always gets some funny looks but some love it!

Hello, my names Josh, I'm 18 years old, from Lancaster (near Preston/Manchester) and I'm an addict... to music.

I just recently decided to buy a controller (Hercules Steel) after about a year messing around on VirtualDJ on and off, and because I'm sick of going to parties and listening to iPods (most of the time it's mine). So I thought "heck, why not!? I have this great passion for music, I might as well try to put it to better use than pressing menu, scrolling a bit and then hitting play!"

The majority of my library is Hip Hop (been into it since I was about 14) but for the last year and a half or so i've dealved into House (and all of it's incarnations) and am loving every second of it!
