Traktor Modifiers help with VCI100mk2
Posted on: 11.02.2011 by Illa Freidin
Hi,

I am using the VCI100mk2, and am trying to make a modifier to the play/pause button that when the volume slider of that deck is up, the play/pause button is disabled, basically so I can't press play/pause by accident when the deck is playing.

I looked and tried everything, but nothing seems to work.. I have gotten the idea to work with buttons, but not the volume slider.

Any advice?

Just to confirm, you don't have any other mappings loaded or at least any other mappings with something selected in their in/out ports? Have you tried loading the mappings using the big import button and doing it twice? That's the way you need to do it with the old VCI, but that's mainly to get the FX on the DJTT mapping to load correctly.

I bought this because i really liked my Vestax Typhoon and thought this would be even better, the Typhoon plugged and played no problems, and i used my X1 with it, but with this now when i turn the Hi-Eq Knob down the filter knob, gain knobs also move and its the same around the board..
Sound output shouldn't be affected by controller mapping... can you upload a screenshot of your mapping window?

I used the file with traktor, and I have the manual... like I said, this is how traktor set it up, so ya, dunno why the faders are in that

Can't see that at work. Try uploading to the DJTT server with a post attachment.

Yeah the sounds really weird.. as you can see in this screenshot my faders all the way up, which pushed my Mid Eq all the way up too, and in the 'main sound output' at the top theres no signal going through

Im not sure if any of the faders have multi commands on the vci 100 when you move the fader up and down it should keep saying the same thing in learn if not its giving two commands.

If this is the case just move the fader a little bit at the bottom when mapping before the second command comes in

Lol your file broke everything, nothing works at all now, no buttons, knobs or faders.... dunno what you did lol

Tried this, the modifier doesnt change.... weirdly..

See above for my .tsi

It doesnt work, I have tried it etc., tried various methods...

My controller setup is weird tho, its attached. bog standard, nothing is edited or anything... this is how the vestax driver set itself up.
All the modifiers were already there etc, only thing I added to play with is modifier 8, nothing else.

Funnily enough, I done exactly as it says in your book, still doesnt work... could be an issue with the controller and/or traktor it seems.
Few things you mention I dont have, I cant assign M8 (Im using modifer 8 for testing) to Deck A, only Assignment I have is global.

So ya, this doesnt work either
