Launchpad Mega Mapping with visual feedback
Launchpad Mega Mapping with visual feedback Posted on: 08.10.2010 by Ignacio Rutner Here's my new 4 deck mapping for the Launchpad with full visual feedback.I started off making this as a supplement to my KX1 but I have been loving the bigger buttons and visual feedback so it has almost taken over the KX1. Images below show complete mapping and default state. Summary: - 4 Deck Control with visual feedback on nearly every element - Automatic full screen browser mode - Preset selector to load up to 6 different Chained FX combo's - Full loop control with feedback states on loop set and active - 8 cue point access with out shift. Use shift to Remove and change CUE type - Cue points also color coded - Greed=Grid, Yellow=Load, Red=Cue, Green=Loop and OFF for NO Cue point - Cue, Play with Feedback RED for OFF, Green for ON - Temp Cue set and CuePlay - Orange Track end warning light The only thing outstanding is 4 chained effect combo's. I've done 2 and am still looking for good combo's to program, so if anyone has recommendations I'd be willing to put them in. Download here: http://www.soundtemple.com.au/midi.html | |
Roseanne Torstenson 25.03.2011 | nice work man |
Len Ladera 24.03.2011 | Guys you no longer need to use bome's translation software, i worked out a new mechanism. http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=26829 |
Ignacio Rutner 22.03.2011 | Hi, appreciate all the interest. I did attempt to make a PC version but for some reason it didnt work. I contacted Bomes about it and the outcome of it meant re-programming hundreds of lines of translators. I will see to what level I can get it working some time, but its not looking great. Sorry. |
Milford Ditter 22.03.2011 | good courage. rishi, i want to know when you will release your ableton mapping's launchpad ? |
Simone Mensing 22.03.2011 | Im dying of anticipation for a pc release. It shall complete my setup. I get so many people asking me how the mapping works whenever i play. I need that mixer page so bad. Will make certain transitions so much easier. |
Patty Magargle 13.03.2011 | Bump for windows version please!!! |

One thing I would love would be to be able to load the FX4 presets on FX deck 3 by holding down the FX4 load button and pressing the FX3 preset buttons to load on FX3. (and the other way around) |
Simone Mensing 12.12.2010 | I also am very stoked for the PC version! |
Ignacio Rutner 02.12.2010 | Dallon5 - thanks so much for your comments. Really appreciate that. Solgoodman - I have some issues with the PC version and need the owner of Bome Software to advise me on them. He is taking a long time. Sorry. |
Pablo Hangen 02.12.2010 | please make pc version RISHI , this mapping sounds AMAZING! |
Lecia Kemerer 02.12.2010 | The FX hot keys are working and your mappings are fun to use and get ideas from, though I use Traktor Scratch and not an S4, so I don't have any experience with that. Actually it's the FX page that I find most useful when combining with the DVS system as I didn't have a great way of controlling that section before. The presets are very handy when I'm focusing on hotcues or when I'm not using DVS. All in all, the whole mapping has been the easiest to learn, I am rather new to digital DJing. I had accidentally stumbled on the various cue point alternatives before but didn't explore, so I went back to it after your post and am excited that they are color-coded in the hotcue section! Again, I am impressed with the level of logic and effort you put into this mapping. Cheers! |
Beata Barata 02.12.2010 | When it will be realized "Midi Tools - LiveFX" )))) - ? |
Milford Ditter 01.12.2010 | still not of version PC ? :/ :/ |

Lecia Kemerer 30.11.2010 | Your mapping makes it so much fun to use the Launchpad with Traktor! Brilliant, complete, versatile... Thank You for your hard work! |

Ignacio Rutner 11.11.2010 | Glad you found the PDF useful. We'll see about the animated face ;-) Not sure about the spare page. Waiting for inspiration on that one. Maybe a single deck page that is more spread out with a switch to change between each of the four decks. I also want to make an S4 companion version. |

Ignacio Rutner 10.11.2010 | There is a small question mark (?) on the MT player ST - cluck that and it will bring up the instruction manual / user guide. |

Milford Ditter 05.11.2010 | What you say gives me more one certain conscience of the mac solution! Basic I am limiting “antimac” but musicalement, I have more and more the impression that mac does not know unquestionable problem of the PC. For example the first mapping that you proposed, I had of the problems of crackings and micro cut when I changed deck A/B C/D, and shift… and I have the impression that I am the only one has to have had this problem. |
Ignacio Rutner 03.11.2010 | Update: The conversion to PC wasnt quite as I easy as I expected. The Bomes file I created on a MAC doesnt work properly on the PC version. I have fixed some problems but not all. Remaining is one issue causing odd LED behaviour. I know whats causing it - I just dont understand why. For that I need to go back to Bomes. It works in the MAC version of the software but not the PC version. |
Milford Ditter 03.11.2010 | I am in a hurry to test the mapping version PC =D |
