Heriberto Malanowski 16.02.2011 | I assume its like the djm350 - you can record mixes straight to USB. Im guessing the mixer will also have an ethernet hub for all the link stuff built in to the cdjs, so it might also be able to share mass storage with the players (?).. dont really see a point in that though |
Tatum Ansaldo 16.02.2011 | this may be a stupid question lol, but what's the USB on the faceplate by the mic input for? |
Kristofer Krauel 16.02.2011 | Not sure if this has been posted already. I'm at work so not had time to check. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_u...&v=P1JrDguIuIk |
Jacque Divinity 16.02.2011 | the fx all come down to personal preference and whats comfortable for your workflow i guess. just like anything dj releated really, whether it be controllers, or mixers, or cd players, or software, or file organisation. |

Tatum Ansaldo 16.02.2011 | That's right pioneer, you carry on pushing your hardware effects which no one will use, and make midi controllers the size of pool tables because you above all other companies know where DJing is headed. Big thumbs up Massive sarcastic expression. In other words...

Pretty crappy pic in the age of hi-res cameras on everything though. Prettyy disappointing as unless it is Traktor Scratch Certified or SSL certified (unheard of). I thought it would have had a built FX controller like the X1. Looks like an 800 with more FX control but less than the DB4 which is not what i would call the next big thing but more of a step sideways. Lets see eh... [and yeah lets have this as the Official Nexus thread. All others will be merged unless warranted] |
Jacque Divinity 16.02.2011 | i'll start of the official discussion thread before we get 101 nexus threads on the 17th.. is this the real deal leaked early... or is it photoshopped? looks fairly legit to me.. personally i would have placed the x-y modulation pad where the fx selector channel selector etc is and placed them above. i pulled the image from djwarehouse's facebook... direct link here |

Too much of my "style" is still tied into using TTs, and just as with the Rane TTM57SL (and the Sixty-Eight), there is a lot to be said for only having to cnnect one USB cable and having the soundcard built into the mixer for audio i/o. I have a feeling that additional controllers will still be needed to get the most mileage from TSP, but the simplicity of not needing to bring an audio interface because it is built into the mixer is the key value of the video (or at least what I took from the video). YMMV. |

Lewis Stumpf 11.02.2011 | I'm halfway excited, halfway skeptical. On one hand, being able to plug in traktor to a pair of CDJ straight off a mixer sounds pretty sweet. On the other, it really sounds like Pioneer are pushing what they can do to the absolute MAX without having to actually, you know, reinvent themselves. Something breaking your game down and building something new from scratch is a good thing. That's what a great bunch of DJ's, especially around here, looks to have done by going digital. I'd much rather see Pioneer apply their build quality and expertise to a brand new concept or line of products instead of trying to bake more bread on their now ten years old CDJ paradigm. |

11.02.2011 | is he STILL doing that boring transformer trick? // edit: just finished watching. doesn't look like much. fx laughable compared to TSP. but then, this is pioneer... they haven't been pioneering much since the CDJ1000. |
Irvin Cee 11.02.2011 | nice ! lots of cheap 800's on the second hand market ! looks like they added a matrix input (there is an extra knob over the gain on the last image) also seems to have 6 direct effects like on the 2000 "using traktor, plug straight in" if this thing as a sound card and is traktor scratch certified, it's going to be so sweet. plus if it could connect to the CDJs, and if you ad good HID support for the CDJ 900 and 2000 : you come to the club, and all you have to do is plug one usb cable in the mixer, boom, instand control over 2 CDJs, + you add a kontrol X1 for effects and sample decks... |
Wilma Quinty 11.02.2011 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1JrD...layer_embedded Looks like a new mixer, probably the 800 replacement. |
Branden Wentler 11.02.2011 | My guess: 1900-2500 USD? Still looking at the DB4 regardless of cost |
Candace Carmouche 11.02.2011 | i REALLY want those pioneer monitors. |
Felipe Rasper 11.02.2011 | James Zabiela shows next big thing by Pioneer : Absolute the follow up from the DJM800, he's say's in the video. i believe it's gonna be called : DJM900 Nexus What i see in this video : Layout djm800 6 inst EFX X-Track pad What i hear in this video : Quantized EFX Soundcard supporting Traktor. |

Danae Dumler 11.02.2011 | yeah looks cool but ... "which take the Pioneer ProDJ Link and rekordbox concept to the next level" ... Personally I'm not too excited about either of those concepts. I suppose I would be if I had the money to shell out for CDJ 2000s, perhaps? A new pioneer effects box alone would be cool to play with I'm sure, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in paying the premium for "rekordbox" technology. |

Dana Ordinario 10.02.2011 | They were just waiting to rain on NI parade. Business is Business I guess. Judging from his previous videos and just the hints they dropped it sounds like it's a new EFX unit. Could be a new Mixer/Efx combo but my bet is on a new EFX. Hopefully it's not nearly as expensive as the 1000 but knowing pioneer it'll be about 1400-1500$. Maybe that will drop the price of the older models. Thanks for the post. |

Treasa Maffucci 10.02.2011 | never heard of it, but just watched the video. looks awesome. there arent any direct shots of it, but from the looks of the parts they show, it looks like a djm800 with an upgraded fx section, possibly an xy pad replacing the standard fx knobs and what not. sounds good from the short vid |
