Yevette Matatall 19.02.2011 | Wow, I was just going to buy a djm2000...after seeing this I'm unsure what to get. While the djm2000 is good I'm believeing that these new effects on nexus would be more suited. The price difference will properly only be $400 here in australia. I know the 2000 is technically the better mixer but to be honest, I've watched many Dj Play them and not Once have I seen the Dj make use of the frequency controls for fx, or us the touch pad x fader, would you believe that my home club in Bali has had an svm1000 for the last 3 years and they have been using the 2000 for the last 6 months just because it's new. The su Svm is just sitting to the side, disconnected. Sometimes I just Touch it, move the faders and pretend I'm mixing with it. |
Lolita Breaker 18.02.2011 | Just had a go on one at WestEndDJ in London (it's a sample unit, the guys in there said that they've only got it for the day/weekend) and having mixed on both Pioneer and Xone mixers I'd say it ranks pretty highly Feels as solid as a DJM-800, the isolator setting for the EQs sound beautiful, the new colour effects sound quite nice (the old ones sound slightly improved too) and the x-pad is quite fun I believe it's a good step for Pioneer but can see why it's gonna be hard to go up against a Kontrol S4 on features alone. Installation-wise I believe it's a good fit. Only thing that narks me is that there's only 1 ethernet port on the back, meaning if you had a 2 x CDJ setup you'd need a hub/switch to get the quantized effects... |

Patty Mcgilbra 18.02.2011 | maybe serato has exclusive a deal with rane? or they want to push their new box into clubs, which you can't really blame them for... |
Francina Decosse 18.02.2011 | Pio/Denon/A&H/Ecler marketing could now start saying that their mixers are now Virtual DJ & Torq 2.0 "fully supported", or even come up with a "certified" nonsense |

Ninfa Larranaga 17.02.2011 | i am surprised why it is not serato compatible like ti is traktor compatible |
Lisa Lochotzki 17.02.2011 | I bet it's because of Rane/Serato as they seems to be so close minded to open up their software to third party. BUT, their software is free. Who knows, maybe there's some hidden stuff coming for Serato too. If not, too bad. |

Madeline Cometa 17.02.2011 | i really dont understand why some guys hate on the mixer.. the way i see it, nexus' only downside is the price gonna wait for some video reviews on how it plays with Traktor before i believe about selling my other gear for this |

Random X 17.02.2011 | And in english: Dear DJ, As you probably already using the video teaser understood Pioneer today announces a new product, the DJM-900 nexus. The DJM-900 nexus is the successor of the DJM-800 with time he will replace interim both models will remain available. Terms of layout will give you the feel of the DJM-800, there are only some extra filters and effects. What is the DJM-900 Nexus extra compared to the DJM-800? The heart of the new DJM-900 is the digital audio circuit which operates at 24-bit/96kHz. This is always the best audio editing and mixing. Not only the internal signals are processed in this high quality, the built-in 4-and 4-out sound cards work on the DJM-900 24-bit/96kHz. A USB connection allows a computer to the DJM-900 nexus linking the digital maps and thus to configure and MIDI back and forth to send software that mixes with the DJM-900 and smooth. The MIDI signal can be used to mix computer software to handle it. The DJM-900nexus Traktor is certified and geluidskaaarten the mixer can therefore move straight in tractor selected as output, can also be mixed with Traktor without using timecode discs. The connection makes in the DJ Booth DJ can change or expire without connecting the external box as usual with DVS (Digital Vinyl) systems. To get the most out of the digital setup is to get new firmware for the CDJ-900/CDJ-2000, this will soon become available. Initially, the CDJ-2000, and next month for the CDJ-900. Subject, see the following press release. The size of the DJM-900 is slightly different than the DJM-800, it is something deeper and wider. Renewed Color FX, there are two filters of the DJM-800 remained (Filter and Crush), an effect of the DJM-2000 (Noise) and 3 new filters (Space Dub Echo and Gate / Comp) Improved Beat Effect section, the Beat Effects running in sync with the audio being played, or there may now be activated Quantize. Once this feature is activated and the players ProDJ Link (via network) can be called the Beat to Beat Grid Effect linked. If the Beat Grid thus rekordbox for the tracks is well put, the effects will always remain in sync, even if the current track pitch is shifted. X-path is a new control strip which beat effects can be temporarily activated (type 'Flash' switch), also modifies the use of the X-pad timing of the effect. Because of this very fast and new ways of using the beat effects. ProDJ Link functionality Nexus on the DJM-900 is a network connection to the mixer be connected through a LAN connection. By using a network switch can be a DJ Booth opgestled owrden a network with up to 4 CDJs which support and max 2 computers running rekordbox software. New Beat Effects - Reverb, not a new effect, but there is a very good Reverd the DJM with a tail of up to 2 minutes ... - Spiral, Pitched echo with feedback loop. - Slip Roll, not new, but the Slip Roll with the X-Pad will open a new box of tricks - Melodic, side-chain sampler - MIDI LFO, send a sweep to external MIDI musical instruments and VST's in a laptop New Faders There are the DJM-900 redesigned faders used. The component is obviously still a variable resistor, but the case makes this fader is at an entirely different class. The fader a lot of similarities in mechanical strength of the Cross Fader DJM-900. This carpet which is the fader button to walk on steel tubes that absorb the blows and the fader reaches its extreme position. This mixer gives a completely different feel when using the fader. Also, the VR itself at an angle of 90 degrees which put inkruipend fluid (beer) and substance directly into the fader but gets into a receptacle underneath. Also new is the fader button, with heavy use remains in place even sit through the new P-lock system. The fader button has three parts in the correct order should be loosened to turn the knob can be replaced. Availability and price The DJM-900 will be available from late March 2011 and has a suggested retail price of 1.899, - inc. |
Random X 17.02.2011 | For the dutch amongst us: Some info on the DJM-900. BTW. |

Neal Rayome 17.02.2011 | I believe there is only one, but could be wrong. Although I don't really like the mixer, if it becomes the new club standard it means that there will be a Traktor certified mixer in most clubs. So no need to bring your Audio 8 and fiddle with all those RCA's. This could be the Serato box in every club, but for Traktor... |
Patty Mcgilbra 17.02.2011 | "Furthermore, smooth transfers between DJs are possible with the easily accessible USB ports on the top surface of the mixer." 2 usb ports i guess? nice addition, especially for clubs |
Predrag Mladenovic 17.02.2011 | This page is dedicated to any info about the new DJM-900 DJM-900 4-Channel Professional DJ Mixer $2399 * 3 new sound Color Effects and 2 new Beat Effects * Manipulate parameters of each beat effect with X-Pad control * Built-in 24bit/96kHz high performance sound card * Pro DJ Link to connect up to 4 CDJ-2000s/900s or rekordbox |
Neal Rayome 17.02.2011 | In the video you can see on top of the mixer that it has a built-in multi channel soundcard (the channel selectors have different USB audio ins). We'll have to wait if it's Traktor or Serato certified, but I'll doubt it. Overall not that impressed. They could've better called it the DJM-850. |
