Anyone know when they are coming out with this??

Words cannot describe how excited i am for this. I have my money on my debit card ready to send to DJTT. I literally am on the edge of my seat every time i am away from the internet because im wondering if i got the email from DJTT saying it is availible, and dont want to miss it.

So yea..... anyone know??

DON'T LAUGH. I DID NOT BUY THIS CONTROLLER FOR SERATO DJ INTRO. I didn't believe much of Intro until I tried it. Platters work lovely. I especially like the adjustable brake. Serato GUI is easy on the eyes. The color scheme and layout of the software is simple but yet displays almost everything you need. If INTRO let you save loops, it would be all I needed for 90% of my needs and gigs. I'm guessing INTRO was designed to give Serato away for next to nothing, and then let the users upgrade to ITCH (Similar to licensing Serato Video). Sounds like a brilliant plan but we haven't heard anything. I like Serato and want them to succeed in the controller market.

Serato DJ Intro doesn't work properly with the VCI-400 Ean Golden Edition. The Firmware shipped with says 1.5.2. I realized DJTechTools.com modified the firmware to do "slicer" but I didn't believe it will cause some buttons not to work at all. Is there any way to go back and forth between firmwares?

- 4 Clear buttons seem to work
- 4 Hot Cues do not engage
- 4 Auto Loops do not work
- Cant get Key/Master Tempo to work with controller.
- 4 Sample buttons at bottom don't work
- Is there suppose to be a Sync button, because no button activates it.
- Why is the headphone volume so low? Adjusting the volume in software does nothing. Traktor volume which is adjustable sounds just fine.
- After 5 minutes, heavy static appears causing you to raise the latency above 5. I run Itch with the NS6 at 2. I also run SSL at 2 with the 68 and MP4 with no problems.

I cannot believe you cannot activate a saved loop from Scratch Live or Itch.

On a side note: I had a 3 hour mix session with Traktor a couple evening s ago with this controller. I cannot even start to comprehend the crazy edits, loops and effects I was pulling off. My Jaw hit the floor. I have spent years customizing TSI's, but never did some if this next levelness.

Played with mine for about 1 hour yesterday, big smile on my face. Overall, quite happy but I'm looking forward to some of the improvements to the mapping people are going to start attempting. I know people are going to squeeze out as much as possible on this incredible controller.

Thought I'd try a evening shot, apologies for the blurryness, I don't have anything resembling a real camera...

@kadeb ... thanks, good to know that's available but I'm going to try and get the official vestax aussie adapter piece somehow.
@oliosky ... sounds a bit dodgy. Wouldn't like to risk it really but thanks too.

Looks good ... just can't power it up. Seems like a bit of an oversight not to supply a power adapter for the export destination. Hate to be picky but it would nice to switch it on. Otherwise packaging, freight and delivery to Oz was all good.

Was hoping the VCI-400 EGE would come with one of DJTT's new blue USB cables though

Would be nice if the MF IG Reverb and T3 Delay is in the VCI-400 EGE mapping.

TP1.2.7 user here. Not sure how my system will handle the extra CPU demands of TP2. Might need some time to make the transition (reorganizing/restriping library, stress testing etc). Meanwhile, can I use EGE/VCI-400 to control earlier versions of Traktor using Vestax/Traktor TSIs?

I'm having an issue with my controller, not sure if this is just a Traktor setting. I'm mixing using the pitch faders and finding there's a pretty big latency issue with the jog wheels. One of the issues is when I back que the record, just getting ready to drop it in with the other song, feels like the track is drifting but my hand doesn't leave the jog wheel.

I have the Traktor Bible which I'm reading now, I'm pretty sure this is a setting but wanted to ask as well.

Yes ... a place for all things VCI-400 (Vestax standard and EG addition). Just a single thread or two isn't enough. I have enough questions of my own to populate a couple of threads on different topics straight off. What are the options? Is DJTT up for hosting a VCI-400 community section (like for NI S4/S2)?

From Traktor did you select the VCI-400 from preferences>Audio Setup>Audio Device>VCI-400 ?

I didn't find any issues but I also ran all of the updates from NI and restarted a 1/2 dozen times.

Finally got the EGE running, having a new born baby in the house makes things a bit harder.

So far, being pretty new to Traktor I got everything running very smoothly. My only issue was getting the cue/master working and that was just a simple rerouting of the monitor output from the preferences. Everything else appears to be working, tested out the slicer/gratify/cues/grid. I'm not 100% about all of the functions but so far it's really nice, works cleanly and the jogs feel much better than the VMS 4.1 I previously owned.

I also bought the Traktor Bible and will be reading this while I sort out my mix music in iTunes.

Wonder why manufacturers arent making crazy unique firmware to add features to traktor that would really make their controllers unique..

looks really nice.. would def give it a look if i was in controller market

im really interested in how they integrated firmware to deal with traktor.. i havent heard of any other controllers having firmware that allows for such things as slicer.. is this the first? I know most things have firmware these days but it seems like this is the first to actually give u an extra type of function.. curious how this turned out and why other controllers havent leveraged their firmware to do these types of things..

im sure all who have received are busy having fun with it - let us know how it works out when u surface for air..

Anybody care to post some vids showing the slicer function? Super curious how well this wound up working in traktor with the firmware upgrade.. If not vids, a written short review on this feature would be great.. Did it live up to expectations?

If any of you are looking for a great case check this Platt model out

http://www.plattcases.com/product_p/2005.htm

I used this for my s4 and will use it for my vci400 when it arrives. Its light, tough, lockable and solid build quality, runs about 130 in Canada. A nice touch with this case is the upper lid foam block pulls out easily, in tight booths ill whip it out and place on top of the mixer or decks and just place my controller on top of it, works like a charm.
The dimensions are just slightly larger than your typical cary on allowance but I've taken it on flights over a dozen times and no one has ever bothered me about it.

Cheers.

There is a Midi mapping download link on your shipping notice email from DJTT. Look for it. It's small and located toward the bottom of the email. If you read the email you'll find it. Good luck.

Good to hear, how is the support of the VCI-400 EGE handled? I assume that it's going to be software mapping issues are supported by DJTT, Traktor supported by Native Instruments and hardware by Vestax?
