also, not enough buttons to be remapped as a 2-channel midi controller...
You are indeed missing something. For $199, there's NO excuse for every club not to have one of these. Which means more and more people will be using Traktor.

It's just a MIDI mixer with built-in two channel sound card. Use it how you like.

Game changer.

I assume I'll be forced to sync? That's disappointing, but I get it.

Now would like to see modules with just transport controls and larger platters. They are taking it in a smart direction... DJs are working with different workflows these days, where modular setups work best

pretty cool. For a while people used to use the faderfox and even the X-session. I could see this as an ultra portable setup with an X1.

I'm surprised I'm the first to point out the lack of innofaders....

This is what I wanted when the X1 first came out. Then I got DVS.

But for the beat gridded, sample using, effects driven DJ, it's just brilliant. Big up to NI.

The plastic gloss faceplate is a bit of a disappointment.

Hmmm, was debating an S4/S2 for a while, but I believe this paired with my Maschine might be useful...

Knew they were going to bring out a Traktor DJ controller, but I didn't expect this.
