What is your favorite BBC Essential Mix?
What is your favorite BBC Essential Mix? Posted on: 04.06.2012 by Kamala Temple I love the show, everyone always throws down a great set. Laidback Luke's essential used to be my favorite, but... after hearing Rustie's essential mix it definitely has my vote. If you haven't heard it I suggest you do! What is your favorite? http://soundcloud.com/rustie/essential-mix-bbc-radio-1 | |
May Artman 04.06.2012 | Trentemoller |
Erich Fearday 04.06.2012 | Greg Wilson! |
Brunilda Kora 04.06.2012 | DJ Yoda did a couple of pretty good ones. So did DJ Shadow. |
Johnetta Olewine 04.06.2012 | Scratch perverts from 2004 Flying lotus in 2008 Nikolas Jaar from this year will also go down as a timeless EM |
Loralee Vertner 04.06.2012 | Joker's mix is my all time favorite, so smooth and well planned out with great track selection and good representation of his sound. Rusko's from 08 i believe it was had a big influence on me and I still listen to it, Skream's from a while ago also. LOVED Kode 9's also. |
Alyse Chiong 04.06.2012 | Kaskade's BBC essential mix is by far my favorite. It just puts me in such a wonderful mood |
Mauro Left 04.06.2012 | Paul Kalkbrenner's essential mix is my favourite. Also seen him live recently and it was the best thing i've ever witnessed. |
Georgina Schatzman 04.06.2012 | I still don't get why people get so angry about Pete Tong. It's a radio show FFS, not a podcast. |
Glennis Bischoff 04.06.2012 | Rusko and Caspa... but that fucking announcer needs to shut the hell up while they play their tracks |
Ilana Enderson 04.06.2012 | I used to love listening to essential mixes.. but now I'm too much of a snob about audio quality! The only one I've found in 320/lossless has been Nero's (really great mix minus some of the brostep) |
Tyree Mccanney 04.06.2012 | Undoubtedly Nero's 2010 essential mix. I'm not even a huge dubstep fan really, but yeah, this; http://soundcloud.com/nerouk/nero-essential-mix-first |
Jerlene Jernegan 04.06.2012 | I'm gonna get bashed for this. Normally I'm a prog house fan, but Bassnectar's 2010 (?) essential mix was just one energy filled continuum of awesome. He definitely gained a fan with that one. |
Treasa Maffucci 04.06.2012 | i'm really diggin the art department essential mix from this past year +1 for the breakage mix as well |
Maricruz Mouw 04.06.2012 | nero's mix is very good as well |
Carlee Newhoff 05.06.2012 | Not trying to bash OP, but I thought that was pretty awful. A whole bunch of stumbling transitions. For example, he just fell into Juicy J and fell right back out of it. It just wasn't smooth at all. |
Georgina Schatzman 05.06.2012 | Desyn Masiello's Essential mix from 2004. Really kick started that electro house sound that everyone was jumping on at that time, but it's still such a timeless mix as well. Still sounds fresh today |
Georgeann Lopeztorres 05.06.2012 | oakie's original goa mix. i have a beat up cassette somewhere with pete tong's voiceover which segues into eerie trance voices. sublime! |
Tommie Siefkes 04.06.2012 | Subfocus 2009 such a good selection of of music and varied tempo's flowed perfect start to finish Carl Cox 2005 space set techno, stomping ( listen to that at least once a week and still sounds fresh) Seth troxler 2011 the intro tracks alone amazing....wasn't into the rustie one at all just couldn't get into it |
Deangelo Boender 04.06.2012 | I liked the mstrkrft essential mix. it was a little rough as far as the technical aspect of it, but it gets good towards the end. |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 04.06.2012 | breakage or james zabiella, both carry you away on an emotional journey for an essential mix I prefer that style over club bangers. |
