What is your favorite BBC Essential Mix? Posted on: 04.06.2012 by Kamala Temple I love the show, everyone always throws down a great set. Laidback Luke's essential used to be my favorite, but... after hearing Rustie's essential mix it definitely has my vote. If you haven't heard it I suggest you do! Twyla Tylinski 12.06.2012 | CJ Mackintosh 1994 Live at the Ministry of Sound. Now this is a quality mix featuring some soulful and deep house tunes. I'm showing my age here but I remember listening to this live on Radio 1 in the early hours of the morning. |

We even get Pappa for a month or so a year when he comes home. |

Cole Maroto 04.06.2012 | i haven't listened to very many essential mixes to be honest but my favorite is surprisingly fake blood's mix. it was a very technically solid mix and the flow was amazing. i like how it was split into the two separate sections. i believe there were moments of nero's mix that were genius as well. i've also listened to the sub focus mix and i didn't really like it. to me it seems like he is always trying to mix 2 songs both during heavy drops and it ends up sounding bad and squashed cause there's no headroom left. i actually find a lot of dubstep and dnb djs do this though, so maybe it's just me who doesn't like it. |
