Georgina Schatzman 06.06.2012 | It just makes sense, two X1's for FX/transport/browsing, one F1 on Deck C and the Maschine on deck D. Done, perfect. You have access to all your pre-made loops, can play and mix your tracks on A&B, and on D you can jam out live on the Maschine. Perfect balance for the modern DJ |

Judi Sissel 06.06.2012 | http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater It looks like he might have taken out a X1 and replaced it with an F1. I hope they'll release him jamming on it. |
Bunny Sockel 06.06.2012 | The way I would use my maschine is to have it exactly like dubfires because I want to bring more of a live performance to my dj sets |
Georgina Schatzman 06.06.2012 | yeah, if anything I see him going with two X1's, one F1 and a one Maschine. |
Roseanna Signorini 06.06.2012 | The remix decks play prerecorded samples....so yes you can load in drums samples and play them on the fly with the remix decks like playing the pads live, but maschine is a sequencer and if its sequenced with traktor you can make up a drum pattern on the fly that maschine will record and play in time. |

Alan Sawney 06.06.2012 | WOW that video was great for me as my sets are anything EDM... I have seen the martinez Brothers in action but it's nice to other top DJ's who use Traktor without the love in of Pioneer. I assume he will use the clubs mixer and start from there with 2 x1 to control Traktor, I can see him switching to two F1's with two X1's and dropping Mashine as he could make the samples at home and put them into a Remix Deck set up. . I have been asking myself if I should by two F1's as I only have just the one at the moment but my answer is clear now i'm of to get another F1 now..... Now I must find a similar Richie Hawtin Video anyone got any links... |

Mike is very knowledgable when it comes to all things Traktor. I was having an issue once when the X1 first came out and he fixed the issue for me in one simple answer... If he see's this thread I am sure he will chime in. |

In fact if you want play out drum patterns you can also do that with remix decks. Where the Maschine really comes in handy is if you use it for production and already have stuff programmed into the software. |
Bunny Sockel 05.06.2012 | i might have to ditch the x1 and pick up the k2 looks like a better unit to me |
Nedra Fresneda 05.06.2012 | I didn't get a chance to play with one (yet). Still: http://www.djranking s.com/2012/05/1...-heath-xonek2/
A soft plastic outer shell encases a coated metal faceplate on the K2. All of the nutted pots and rotary encoders represent professional build quality, and the nutted construction of the knobs means the the inner circuit board is protected more against outer trauma to the knobs. The four 60mm-throw faders possess the signature Allen & Heath smoothness, and their tops are indented generously, making them a pleasure to use.
In addition, the 30 rubberized buttons feel fantastic. They are soft-touch LED rubber buttons with a click, yet they are firmer and feel more robust than the looser buttons on the Kontrol X1. In short, despite the plastic casing, Allen & Heath maintains its usual high standard of build quality on the Xone:K2. |
Mauro Left 05.06.2012 | Just had to add to this, Most of the time Dubfire will use 3 X1's. (Not sure why) , But i don't know if he has started using the K2 yet. |
Bunny Sockel 05.06.2012 | oh and padi is the k2 better built than the x1 |
Bunny Sockel 05.06.2012 | okay thanks i have been looking into using maschine as a live input in traktor just wanted to know how the pros did it |
Romelia Stankard 05.06.2012 | He's using the Maschine software and the step sequencer for drum loops. |
Nedra Fresneda 05.06.2012 | The first. He uses a pair of X1 to control traktor (not sure if he jumped on the K2 wagon) |
