Kid 'n' Play?

I still have their vinyl lying around the house somewhere.

I jump on the cdjs and final scratch occasionally when mates are using them in town or bring their shit round home, but gosh dang it if i'm not hanging out for traktor after a few tracks haha.

LOL, got into a rather furious debate about this the other day.DnB heads really cherish thier vinyl, and thats cool.

After selling off my decks I do miss the feel of mixing on em. I also miss the awe factor of just staring at brand new vinyl. However, after jumping back onto ableton or Traktor the nostalgia quickly fades. imo

Well, now I know how I'm gonna spend my Christmas. Either in a hospital stretcher or sprawled out on the floor of my bathroom.

I used to regularly, but I sold my decks off. Now, if I have a short set I'll just bring some CDs and rock out, depending on the gear available

I mix records at home after work for an hour or so. It's very relaxing, kind of like taking a beer into the shower.

I use vinyl and CDs quite often and also my full digital traktor pro setup. I like mixing things up. Who else is like this too and what are your reasons? For me it's a different feel and I focus on different things when I'm on hardware decks with CDs and wax than when I'm in traktor pro. My style changes significantly when I'm using Traktor vs tradition which is one of the reasons I use TPro.
I just realized that I no longer use timecodes like ever. I can't remember the last time I did. I like to keep the laptop digital world separate from the decks.

Oh and after three weeks without turntables and 200 new records i finally got the Technics I've been waiting for- a beautiful pair of black 1210 MK5s. Now I'm going to replace all the lights with blue LEDs and maybe do an under platter LED mod if I have time.

Oh and obligatory new setup pics before I sell two of the CDJs off, it's just insane and loads of fun.

I hope I don't come off as whoring my setup showing it off but I've been drooling over it all evening looking and playing with it and wanted to share and figured some of you might like the eye candy. I have been waiting to find a deal on these exact tables for months and they are hard to come by and I paid more than i usually would for that reason (550 for the pair, I've bought a new in box 1200 MK5 for comparison and usually stay under 500 for technics pairs unless they're M5G). These were just too sexy to resist and once they are glowing blue it will be even sicker.

If anyone is in NYC and wants to come over and jam let me know, anyone cool and not crazy is welcome, 2 of the CDJs are going on Monday!
I am a sucker for a bargain too!

Most of my kit i have gotten for a steal!

The VCI and Audio 4 were brand new tho.....but ALSO got a great deal on them!

No Customs fees!

Heh I'll need another mixer and two more decks. I suppose I could run 8 decks on one mixer by running two decks per channel. Right now I only have 10 decks . I do have two extra 1Ds, I could run two instances of traktor on another PC if I had another soundcard, lol.
