My recordings sound like trash
Posted on: 29.07.2012 by Margie Pavell
I just went back and listened to some of my recent mixes and realized they sound like garbage. I record externally to soundforge via an Alesis RCA input to USB device.

My setup is a audio DJ2 to a Xone 22 to the USB device. I get a low level hum and the recording doesn't sound crisp and clean like i would expect.

I also get the same noise when i try and rip vinyl.

Ground loop?

I'd rather have Traktor focus on doing what it does best, ill let another piece of software do what it does best as well, why not, i don't have to worry about hardware constraints

... and its simple, i have audio 8 dj, i open up goldwave it already knows to record off my audio 8 and i hit record, more simple than traktor imo, and i can monitor everything to the fullest, if i remember correctly (again i haven't messed with traktor recording since i first got TSP1) traktor doesn't show you a lot

Wrong on that as well. What goes in is what comes out unless dealing with 24bit lossless
