i was wondering if there are any free plugins that allow me to load in a couple of 1 shot samples and use the likes of my nano pad to triggar them kinda like a drum pad, ino there's probly a simple solution for this but im new to music production from a recording and dj'ing backround , cheers in advance for any reply's

What DAW are you using? Ableton has the native Drum kit device

yeah its something along those lines like thats pretty much what i want to do, but wanted it for a DAW program, i have traktor pro there but its so i can grab a load of samples from my library and play a drum beat over a semi completed song

Are you using Traktor? You can create a track with up to 8 one shots and samples in something like Audacity, by just pasting them all together in one track. Then set the cue points accordingly. Loops will work as loops, but the one shots would need to probably a hold and play deal because the track will keep playing. Would probably be smart to put some silence between them incase you miss the let go portion. You don't want the next one shot to start.
