| Georgina Schatzman 27.03.2012 | From what it sounds like, it should be a "high energy track" but it doesn't have any push. Should try and add some automation maybe, plus a little 16th note shaker groove with a bit of swing that pushes it a bit as well. And maybe try working on the snare pattern as well, instead of it being a straight 2/4 snare try and give it a nice groove itself. Nothing crazy, just a little something to keep the listener on their toes and engaged. You might also want to believe about going back and redoing your mixdown as well. I understand why you mixed it down the way it is, but giving it a bit more depth and giving certain parts more space would really make a much more dynamic and enjoyable tune to listen to. |
