NEW VCI-100 PLATES or WRAP?
NEW VCI-100 PLATES or WRAP? We are getting closer to the completion of our upgrade package and wondering which you would prefer: plates or a wrap? plates: new black or silver(?) plates that list all the functions of the vci-100se firmware. wrap: a custom wrap from style flip that wraps any VCI-100 in black and adds the labels of the 1.3 firmware. Which one would you want? | |

The label would stay in the same place but instead have the new text. |

So my vote still goes on the plates |
Jenny Pow 07.08.2008 | Id go with style flip if they had the text outline of eans 1.3 firmware |
Nor Muazam 07.08.2008 | Will there be silver plates as well as black plates or just black? |
xalim urassa 03.07.2008 | The wrap looks good, but there would be no way it would look like that if i had my mits on it.so its got to be plates for me |
Carlos Villalpando 03.07.2008 | Black Plates for sure |
Sergey Boyko 03.07.2008 | the wrap looks a little nicer than i thought and its really cool that style flip made the layout available but i would still much rather have the plates. which brings up the point, you can still buy something similar if the wrap doesn't go through but you certainly can't with the plates. also, the plates are much more classy. just my 2 cents. |
Jose Iraheta 27.06.2008 | Looks niiiice |
Prokofiy Sokolov 27.06.2008 | I must admit it looks very nice. might change my mind on buying a plate and go for a customized wrap. |
Tommi Lahtinen 27.06.2008 | That looks great! If we could get the Firmware v1.3 (golden ed.) function overlay as an option when customizing our own grafix, I would be all about giving it a shot. |

Adolf Hit 25.06.2008 | The Photos look nice, but you really cant tell what it is like untill your have it in your hands. I would still rather fork out more for proper plates than a wrap. But if some one did a BCR-2000 template I would most def roll one of these wraps for it! nudge nudge |
Random X 25.06.2008 | LOLz... If only there where metallic Style Flips for my Behringer BCR2000. |
Xavier Emanuels 26.06.2008 | The photoshop templates seem to be the go |
Charlie Cult 26.06.2008 | What we do offer currently is photoshop templates so you can design your own stuff. Version two of our flash designer will actually be around 1500 X 1500 pixels though and you will be able to zoom in and out of it and place stuff more easily as well. here is an example of a design a customer created for the Xone 3D using a template from us |

deni boyd 25.06.2008 | Even with the fancy wrap ad, I still prefer the metal plates with a clean crisp layout. The wrap makes the gear
you spent hundreds on(thousands for some) look cheap, IMO. BTW, Do you believe those pros on the ad paid for the wrap? I don't believe so. |
Xavier Emanuels 25.06.2008 | Vestax probably wont make VCI-100 Bento Edition plates... but flip style will come pretty with those customisable vinyl wraps - thanks for putting up a VCI-100 template guys. |
Charlie Cult 25.06.2008 | Once it pops up leave it all white and then click on the tab on the right hand side that says 'INFO LAYERS' Here you can choose whatever color combination you would like for your knob functions...it is layed back on top of whatever images you decide to upload |
Charlie Cult 25.06.2008 | Here is how you can design your custom wrap. Soon we will be launching an upgraded version of our designer and will be able to zoom in for much greater detail when creating your design. http://www.styleflip.com/index.php?m...d=68&face_id=1 It wraps up your whole unit with whatever you want....including the front and back sides as well |
Sergey Boyko 23.06.2008 | yeah definitely still plates. although I'm curious to know if ean will be selling the tks/firmware set up as a separate item from the plates or wraps or as a package. I bought a japanese all black vci-100 as a response to the initial selling out of the SE's. after doing so much work to get that thing i almost don't want to sacrifice its integrity with new plates. but who knows, i guess it all depends how they look |
Makkins Clifton 22.06.2008 | I want plates too! We bought the VCI-100 because it isnt made of plastic. Will they be black or silver? Will the upgrade package be delivered to Germany because I live here? |

Michael Manlapaz 15.06.2008 | Plates Please! i dont want no sticky residue on my vci haha. |
ricard capdevila romero 14.06.2008 | Not sure if this is the right topic to ask but since plates are on the subject. Would Ean or any of you know if it is possible to order the VCI-100 Black default plates (so not the SE) from Vestax? (I know this sounds weird but to me kind of fun to have the layout matched to Traktor) (Now only if Styleflip would have the VCI-100 in their selection I could create a matching layout.) |
Steeve Lauritano 12.06.2008 | Damn didn't believe either would be that expensive! |
jesus gomez 11.06.2008 | i would want the more professional look of plates |
Santi Taos 11.06.2008 | i'd still want to pay for the plates being that i would probably go thru 2 or more of those wraps. |
Mister Minsk 11.06.2008 | Hey Ean Just Wondering If The "MST/PGM" Labeling On The SE Plates Was Inadvertently Reversed? (ie The VCI Knob Moves Opposite To The Traktor Knob ) The Duelist |
Xavier Emanuels 11.06.2008 | Ouch those plates come to more than i thought, i still believe its a more sensible solution for myself though. |
11.06.2008 | Very interesting. I assumed the wraps would be more popular. Your right the plates are a more professional, cleaner solution, and you can always paint your vci-100 black which would look better in the long run. Yes, we are in negotiation with Style Flip for the wraps. The ONLY downside is that the wraps are less expensive than the plates. Here are some rough retail figures: TKS+Firmware emulation Software = $20 or TKS+firmware cable = $20 Wraps= +/- $45 or PLates= +/- $70 |
Xavier Emanuels 11.06.2008 | Im leaning towards plates personally, id like to paint my vci |
Steeve Lauritano 11.06.2008 | :-\ I wanna change my vote now to plates instead of a wrap. |
