Once again: Effects all over the place...?
Once again: Effects all over the place...? Posted on: 17.09.2008 by casey rascal Hi allAs my recent thread on this matter got deleted due to the server problems, I am posting this again. I am running Traktor 3.3.2 and use the VCI-100 SE. So at my latest gig I experienced some issues with the Traktor effects. At the beginning of the set everything was just fine. But as the time progressed and the effects had been used more and more times, they started to offset (drift apart). That is, the effect knobs on the VCI and the equivalent virtual knobs in Traktor went out of sync, aka. they didn | |

Roger Gomez 15.10.2008 | Thanks Fcarsana, I'm gonna have a play with your settings. I'll post some feedback as to if for me, this makes it more userfriendly/intuitive to use. |

casey rascal 14.10.2008 | That would be fantastic. I just love the way its all comming together on this site |
13.10.2008 | thats true, I can see how that would be desired. I plan on checking out his TKs and exploring how those ideas can be integrated soon. |

Roger Gomez 13.10.2008 | Hi Guys, I would like to try out this change, however Fcarsana, can you please specify exactly what changes you made to the TKS and where (screenshots would be good),as I have made extensive changes to other TKS settings, and don't want to re-do them. So it would be good if i could just merge yours into mine, if you get what i mean. Cheers, Ajay |

casey rascal 10.10.2008 | Whats the difference between this one, and the one u posted a couple of days ago? |
team DonX 09.10.2008 | Sorry, here it is.... |
team DonX 09.10.2008 | Here it is... my 1.4tt tks without filter/fx "bug"... The other functions are the same as the original 1.4tt tks, except for one in fader fx mode: if you push the jogwheel you engage an fx, but the amt is 0% and not 100%, so to kick in the fx you have to rotate clockwise. In this way , in my opinion, there's much control... |

08.10.2008 | So, its safe to assume Flaekiface that after upgrading to the latest version of traktor and our TKS file everything is working as expected? |

And there's a 1 sec of silence... I hope you understand.... With my tks I have fixed this wrong behavior... I hope :P |

This must be a genral bug-fix, that needs to be incoorporated in the official tks files, imo. But tell me, have you touched anything else in the tks file other than the effect fix. I would just hate to run into any unpleasent surprises Now I just need to get the outside of the jogs to work like they do in the 1.2 tks. |
team DonX 06.10.2008 | I've worked hard for about 4 hours and I believe I've solved the problem! This tks is derived from tks 1.3TT, I've only added some notes on effect button 1 and effect knob 1... Tell me if it works for you! |

team DonX 06.10.2008 | I don't know if this helps, but this is what I've discovered using tks v1.3 TT-Style: - at startup all works great, the filter button sets filter with correct parameters values: when filter knob is in center position amt is 0% and when I move that knob amt changes to 100% and engages filter moving its parameters. If, for example, now I push effect echo button the amt for echo is 0% and when I move its knobs I engage echo fx. - If I engage deck c mode and I press filter button, the amt isn't 0% as before when the filter knob is in center position but it remains always at 100%... Now if I push one of the other effects buttons, for example echo, the amt remains at 100% and echo starts immediately... So, I believe it's a tks problem: it seems that the page#2 of tks isn't configured properly... I'll try to check this evening... I hope you understand... P.S. I use the correct procedure to engage effects and filters: 1) push button 2) move knobs 3) move amt knob to 0% 4) push another fx button... and so on... |
casey rascal 06.10.2008 | So alot of posts in this thread got deletet. I will try again. I have updated to Traktor 3.4.1 and am still having problems with the effects. I discoverede that engaging an effect (pushing the effect button) after using the filter, sometimes turns the effect "on" and sometimes you need to activate the amount knob to turn it "on". Does this happen to any of you guys??? I use the VCI-100SE_Ean_Golden1_2.tks |
