VCI-100SE issues with TSP 1.2.5??
Posted on: 18.04.2010 by Janetta Tutorow
Hello,
I am having problems with Traktor seeing my VSI-100se.
I have the latest firmware 1.3 on VCI.
Also, I just installed 1.2.5 on Traktor Scratch Pro.
I am able to verify my VSI is version 1.3 by clicking on button on left jog wheel and it toggles on and off.

I am not getting the blue midi signal in Traktor.
I was able to go to prefrences/Controller Manager and import,
then (on Device) select VCI-100SE - Generic MIDI (All Ports, All Ports)
Then I close the window.

Still no MIDI response on Traktor and when I go back to Prefrences/Controller Manager; it reverts back to Generic Keyboard!!

Am I missing something or for some reason it is not holding the info?
What should I do?

I noticed someone else had this problem or simular at-

His name was Arthur?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You,

We are going to need your setup information to go any further, I believe. Let us know what system you are using, which OS and what your configuration is (in simple form).

Hello,
Tried what you said, Maybe the file I loaded is not correct from DDTT??
I am loading in the file;
VCI-100SE3_5.tsi
I tried running the set-up wizard again then re import.
Also, went back to Output Routing and re-set to Internal on Mixing Mode.

One more thing, For some wierd reason I am having issues with my audio 8.
I was trying at least to get the vci working but my audio 8 is flashing on the usb symbol and doesn't quite recoginize. I was able to use the audio 8 with earlier version of traktor with turntable set-up.

Everything changed when I did the update.
I updated traktor directly from TSP 1.1.2 to TSP 1.2.5.
Could this have caused something to be missing in an update??

What about version 1.2.4?? I would believe an update is an improvement??
Maybe I am missing something??
please assist,
sincerely,
Geoff

Hi and welcome to the community s.

Traktor will always show the first part of the TSI that was created first in the list. Therefore, foor a DJTT TSI, the keyboard is always listed first. But this does not mean it has priority.

As for the all important Ports, the VCI will not work properly in "all ports", rather you have to select the Vestax Vertual Input for the appropriate port.

I do not believe this will sort out your 'not being seen by Traktor' issue. Maybe try to run the Setup Wizard again and see if Traktor will see the VCI at the end. If so, just load in the DJTT TSI and set your ports!

Let us know if you get this resolved. If not, let us know more about your setup (Mac/windows, OS, sound card, etc.) so we can mat be pinpoint a problem.

Phil.
