Mack Rehberger 07.02.2010 | Any idea when the scratch problem will be fixed or how i can fix it myself? It's getting kinda annoying. Also the sample and beatslicer (button that used to be sync) and the route fx button doesn't work for me. I am using FW 1.3 and Traktor 1.2.4 |

Edris Acevedo 07.02.2010 | Moving Jog wheel whilst holding Echo doesn't do anything. however pushing it activates Feedback. Is this right? The route FX button which used to be Advanced causes LEDs to blink but nothing else?? Is there a way of re-setting the Slice and echo settings without re-loading the TSI? |
Kassandra Shillinger 07.02.2010 | Sync light on deck A doesn't correspond with that on Tracktor. B seems to work fine. Will try and locate the issue. |
Edris Acevedo 07.02.2010 | Thought as much. i'm always pretty reluctant to upgrade Traktor especially when the version I am running is solid. Cheers anyway though Fusion |
Marcene Erkenbrack 07.02.2010 | Hey Audio Aerosol, "Problems loading this file? This mapping was created with Traktor version 1.24. If you are having trouble opening the TSI, chances are you are using an older version. Please update your software and you should not have any issues. 1.24 is stable and has some cool new features we use in the mapping." Hope this helps |
Edris Acevedo 07.02.2010 | Can this TSI only be used with certain versions of Traktor? I'm using 1.21 and after importing the TSI I dont have any functionality with my VCI 100SE. thanks |
Kassandra Shillinger 06.02.2010 | pressing either the fx type or route fx buttons serious effects the performance. Visually it slows down and affects the sound. Any ideas EAN? Thanks |
Mireille Hagert 06.02.2010 | Has anyone noticed that when you use the rute fx button along with the "B" button, it not only does what it's supposed to do (i.e. toggling between fx being assigned or not on deck B) but it also turns the fx on or off? (it only does this on fx bank 2) Also the jog wheels not working properly is really frustraiting, anyone know how to sort this? Appart from the above points, I'm really getting into the new mapping and loving it. |

Keva Sheward 04.02.2010 | The Fader FX mode still turns off after using either the Echo or Slice buttons. I’m running Windows 7, VCI firmware 1.3 and Traktor 1.2.4. I seamed to have fixed this issue by adding/editing the following commands but I haven’t had enough time to thoroughly test it to see if it causes other problems. Added 2 Modifier 5 commands and mapped them to the Fader FX button: Modifier 5 In button direct if M5=0 then set to M5=5 Modifier 5 In button direct if M5=5 then set to M5=0 I changed the conditions for the three existing Modifier 2 Increase by 1 commands that were already mapped to each Echo & Slice button to only work under the following conditions: M5=5 (ensures that the Fader FX is activated) and M3=0 (ensures that you are not in juggle mode) You have to make this change for each of the four buttons but it will work the same no matter what deck you’re using. I believe modifier 5 is currently used to activate the sampler but my sampler functionality seams sound. |
Jolyn Brunello 04.02.2010 | @zod im not sure what increment it was but i got this problem aswell.i noticed as i was touching the edge of the platter to bend it the + - on the comp screen wasn't selecting so i opened i believe the transport section and ticked the progressive (sensitivity or bend?)box but still nothing.i deleted all my midi files, then selected import then opened 3.1.2 but got the same.also the slice and echo on the left is echo and slice on the right.is that correct or am i doing something wrong?...........what a t.s.i!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Jeannette Heads 03.02.2010 | In previous versions (including 3.0 beta, and 3.0), the outer jog wheel adjusted the pitch +/- 1.6%. When I load the 3.1.2 tsi the pitch bend on the outer jog wheel is +/- 6.4%. I've tried reloading the tsi, and it always behaves the same. If I reload one of the older tsi's it works like I'd expect. Can anyone else confirm this. Is this intended? |
Leota Saniuk 03.02.2010 | one thing i am wondering about the deck copy feature. if the deck is running, the copied deck is loaded running in the same position. this increases the output level. wouldnt make sense to drop the volume on the given deck down so that it can then manually be increased? this brings me to the next question: how do we all (and of course especially ean) about soft takeover at this point? |
Sanjuana Newburn 03.02.2010 | @JoeSchmoe & Patjuh90. Yeah I'm havin the same problem. When I go to drag the jog wheel back after a cut it's not grabbing it (Mapping 3.1.2). Any chance we could have this fixed? Apart from that I'm luvin it. Job well done Ean & crew!!! |
Mack Rehberger 04.02.2010 | The FX routing button doesn't work at all... if i press it almost all LEDs will flicker a bit just like a button glitch that was in FW 1.2. Also the Sampler doesn't work at all (the buttons that used to be sync, and the button and the small knobs on the top right corner). |
Jolyn Brunello 03.02.2010 |
It resets one value but leaves the glitch in the same place where you last left the jog wheel- to me that config is more musical and easy to use but if no one likes it we can change it back.
i agree and am hoping they get left as they are.to ean,do you prefer to use the vci or the oxygen for djing?i dont want to hijack this thread so please no answers from anyone else.just curious |
Mack Rehberger 03.02.2010 | yeah had the same problem today with the 3.0 (haven't tested 3.1 out yet) |
Evangeline Jarnot 03.02.2010 | I'm still having a problem I had with 3.0; the jog wheels don't work correctly. Whenever a track is playing and I move the wheel very quickly, traktor "grabs" the track for a brief second as if it was going to start a scratch normally. But then traktor "lets go" after a brief instant and the track plays out, even though I never take my hand off the jog wheel. The vci and traktor both register that midi data is being sent when I keep my hand on the jog but nothing happens if I try to manipulate the track further. To start a new scratch I have to take my hand off the jog wheel and put it down again. This only happens when I move the wheel very quickly when the track is playing out normally. Otherwise, scratch works fine. I believe traktor might be recognizing the fast inputs as some kind of pitch bend. I believe this because when this problem happens, the box indicating the + or - pitch briefly changes, and this box does not change when scratch works normally. Using windows 7, vci firmware 1.3, traktor 1.2.4 |
Vernon Vanderberg 02.02.2010 | I really dig the new layout. any word on when the overlays will hit the store? |
Thomas Fone 02.02.2010 | Please put them back - they were great. Also a great opportunity for people to customize them per their liking. |

02.02.2010 | Hey Guys, Please re-download the new TSI files. We have updated them to version 3_1_2 as 3_1 had a nasty bug where fader fx would disable deck B! :0 That and the pitch fader lengths are now fixed- plus you can download the TSI directly. |

Leota Saniuk 02.02.2010 | uhm .. did the explanation for how to do the FX routing get cut out of the 3.0 post? anyways its also not in this thread .. ah figured it out .. FX1/2 can be assigned by pressing the routing button and then the A/B/C/D buttons. i guess 3/4 are reserved for the magic buttons anyways. found a bug : when pressing the sync button to on the LED turns blue, however the LED toggles to off when pressing shift+sync in order to enable key lock. so the LED state can be on or off regardless of the sync/key lock setting. |
Thomas Fone 02.02.2010 | Hey Ean, I really liked the potential of using shift to access additional functions on the transport buttons. I assume you took them away because of conflicts. Do you see them coming back? Also, as a practice, it would be great to see a pdf of the tsi for us os x folks. thanks as always, |
Leslie Glazman 02.02.2010 | I believe there is something went wrong with zipping... The solution: 1. download the file from Ean 2. extract the File in the zip (it has no extension!) 3. now you can open the extracted file with winrar (or add extension .zip) now you should have 2 directoris one for mac an one for win... everythin should work now! but only if you use traktor 1.2.4 - if you have an oder Version you could not import controller settings! |

Dj Tykarma 02.02.2010 | I noticed the Low/High Cut Filter Knobs stop working when FX Mode is "on". Is this because we don't have any FX module available in order to filter while FX mode is enabled or is it a bug? Bug or not, I'd suggest the following mapping while FX mode is "on": - moving the FX parameter assigned to the volume faders to these knobs in order to allow volume control while on FX mode OR - moving the FX parameter assigned to the pitch fader to these knobs in order to be able to add transposing to our FX performance. |
