Back in your box old boy, bear in mind that most manufacturers release totally shit mappings with their hardware which come nowhere near to realising the actual potential of the unit. That's the kind of work you normally have to do yourself, except for the VCI-100 SE this is done for you. The situation is this: The VCI-100 SE has upgraded firmware which improves it a lot, and the most recent mapping works perfectly with both TP 1.2.7 and TP2. Both of these are thanks to DJTT. And if you're going make excessive use of caps lock, which incidentally comes across just about as impressively as throwing one's toys out of either a proverbial or real pram, try to find something worth being angry about. |

At the end of the day, if NI have a software out for release for the hardware you are selling, and you cant get the mapping ready in time for its release date then sorry thats shitty business. So where do i go from here? Am i supposed to just wait some more until TP2 mappings are released? And u didnt answer my question, how do i actually use TP2 since every time i open the software its just Traktor LE even after ive bought and installed the upgrade? |

But sooner or later i have to upgrade to Traktor 2 (that will be when i get the $$$ hopefully next month). And I was wondering what the new VCI mapping will be like if there is coming one. Will it be a copy of the old one? Will they make some changes in the FX mode now there has come new effects? Will there be a switch with the Slicer button to maybe a bounce? Will there be a hole new mapping incorperating the sample decks (no need for the sampler in the top right corner)? Will there be a VCI mapping at all or will S4 take the focus? Will the Midi Fighter Grat mapping get new effects (or combos)? This is some of the things I have been wondering about, I'd like to hear some of your thoughts/rumors/ideas. I'm looking very much forward to seeing some DJTT mapping for T2. These mappings is what makes Digital DJ'ing able to compete with DVS (obsolete some might say (like me)). |

Now that I have the Traktor pro 2, I found that we will need complete new mappings. I started to program them myself and must admit, what a job to do! Its getting very messy and unorganized. I do hope that DJTT will treat us again with this. I am actually will to give you a reward for it. Hope you will put this on your site again soon, since my version of mapping sucks until now. The New traktor pro 2 layout is so much cooler and better. I saw your video where you noticed the differences, well there are quite a lot more differences and not always better. PLEASE GET US THE DJTT STANDARD INTO THE TP2 VERSION! I will send you my modified version. Keep the beats pumping / practice and enjoy! |

| 31.03.2011 | Thinking about this more... although it would be super duper nice to believe up of an awesome mapping for the VCI-100 to manage/control the 2 Sampler Decks (C+D) on the VCI-100, I'm beginning to change my thoughts here. It may make more sense to use a whole separate controller for the Sampler Decks on their own. I do wish to find a way on the VCI-100 device... once a loop is in play on Deck A or B to be able to pass it to one of the 8 samplers slot positions... from there, use that additional controller device/hardware to strictly control the sampler features. Sampler Controls: Play/Pause Loop/One Shot Filter FX Bank Selecte (1-4) Volume (1-4) Something like a Korg Nano Kontrol may work perfectly for the sampler functionality. Just trying to believe of practical solutions here. Focusing your thoughts of functionality on specific devices instead of the 1 device does all could make things a little easier, although setup may get a little more complicated. May try to wire something up soon and will share if I make any progress here. |
