Download the Latest VCI-100SE Mapping (3.6.4) Posted on: 01.11.2010 by Jodi Lacerra Requirements You must have Traktor 1.24 or later to use this file otherwise it will not import properly. These files are compatible with firmware 1.2/1.3/1.4 To Load this file Select the BIG import button in the lower left hand corner of the preferences tab If this is your first time loading the TSI file, please load it 2 TIMES for the fx to load properly. The 1st and 2nd time you run Traktor after importing this TSI file, the controller may lock up in fader fx mode. Just quit and re-open the program twice and the issue should go away. What Settings to Load MIDI: Everyone EFFECTS: Everyone (please load this file twice if you are using it for the first time to load the FX properly) LAYOUT: Only if you want the layout to change when switching decks from A/B to C/D. To customize your own, modify the layouts in position 1 and 3. ALL OTHER SETTINGS: Import these if you want the Pitch fader to be set to 8%, and for deck copy to work perfectly. WHAT CHANGED? Added support for the high res faders and jogs in firmware 1.4 Changed back original Play/Pause functionality. Use Shift + Play to "Re-Play". Changed back the chained FX presets in the effect section (4 knobs and buttons) to old style Shift + FX Preset 1 now turns on/off the Audio Recorder Shift + Gain knob makes Gain have soft takeover Shift + Headphone level controls Master Volume Fixed Key knob functionality (Shift + Filter) Made 2 tsi versions to fix incompatibility issues (FW 1.3 & FW 1.4). Note: FW 1.4 version will still work with older firmwares. Other minor bug fixes Updated walk through pdf to match mapping changes Please also check that your In and Out ports are properly set to your VCI-100 (i.e., Vestax PC Controller) Issues? Questions? Feedback is appreciated. This mapping has also been modified to work with Traktor Pro 2. All of the same features and functionality remain as the mapping in this thread. What is the most recent tsi file you used where you did not experience glitches? And is your computer older and have a lot of programs on it?

I looked into this after reading that last time and I'm not sure why this is happening. It is true that a Send Monitor State action could cause this, but there is no Send Monitor State function associated with the Shift button. Based on my memory, I couldn't figure out why the bug was occurring and decided there must be a bug in how Traktor implements Midi Out commands. I will take a look at this again in the future to be sure. The bug should be less of an issue with Play/Pause back on the top layer though. You will probably see it thought if you use Re-Play (Shift+Play) a lot. If it really bugs you, you can either take the Play LED feedback out in the mapping or even better, throw some arcade buttons in place of those buttons!

Yeh, that happens whenever you use any command with a 'send monitor state' action involved. Don't know if it's avoidable, same issue came up with 3.6.3 tsi.

Which tsi file are you using when you had the led feedback issue? I remember catching this on one of the tsi's but it's very possible that I missed it on another. As for the sampler issue, are you pressing a headphone cue to activate the sampler on the appropriate deck side after pressing it? Pressing the Sampler button alone will not do anything except set up some parameters used for the "Sampler" and make the headphone cue lights blink (which are the triggers for the sampler). Btw, thanks for the feedback. This is the whole reason why I post the tsi's here first before putting it up on the Mappings page.

I believe you are misunderstanding when the bug appears. Every time you "apply" (i.e. reload/import) the tsi, you will run into this bug during the first two instances Traktor is open. So, after initially loading the tsi and opening/closing Traktor twice, do not reload the tsi or you will run into the same problem each time.
Jama Goodison 03.11.2010	Hey guys, sorry if this has been covered...... Is it possible to stop the mouse/cursor selecting the "track search" box when entering or leaving full page browser? This is a real pain as I use some keyboard commands when playing out and unless I click with the mouse anywhere on screen my keyboard commands appear in the search box. Forget me, I'm lazy........!!! Found it in the mapping under search. Oops. :-S

Jolyn Brunello 02.11.2010	route efx working although im not getting any sampler functionality(when pressing sampler the pat parameter goes to 100% and thats it.) when pressing route fx and releasing with effect 2 selected in chained the 3rd led(c/gater) comes on.i have to press it to select the button on which stays lit then off and it goes off again no problems with functionality just led feedback. i've loaded the tsi about 6 times.mac tsi on windows laptop. good work as usual

Christene Bruscino 02.11.2010	yeah, thanks guys. Will do some maintenance during installing pro-x-fade. Just done some testing with using slice\echo and FADER FX. The problem still persists. Gotta report Chris Lim about it.

When u import the TSI file goto prefs/Controller Management and select Vestax device then you'll see that wrong ports were selected (n/a).. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRnraz37w6A that bug with FADER FX was fixed in 3.6.4 version. I'm kinda happy the problem with volume fader still appears and it seems that left piece of crap was broken. Do you know how if there's any chance to replace it? Cause the right fader's working perfectly. Thanks in advance

Christene Bruscino 02.11.2010	yesterday i've updated my firmware to 1.4 version and it seems that everything was ok. I've been having this bug since I had bought my vci but i didnt pay attention on it. The new mapping 3.6.4 isn't working for me (I'm on MacOS) neither PC version nor MAC one. The previous 3.6.3 only PC version was installed properly. That MAC tsi didn't work either I'm importing it by clicking prefs -> import in bottom left corner BTW, the first issue with FADER FX was resolved after I applied some debugging procedures advised by you. Thanks

Tatum Ansaldo 02.11.2010	I guess the standard debugging procedure, reimport the tsi using the big IMPORT button once or twice and close down traktor and restart it a couple of times.

I'm just sayin I believe those buttons have always temporarily disabled fader FX so that you can use the jogs to control slice/echo parameters. Mine reverts right back as soon as you release the button.

Tatum Ansaldo 02.11.2010	tested all new features and the bug fixes seem to have worked brilliantly! Key function now works properly, knob just needs to be moved and reset to centre the first time you use it. Well thought out added features as well, like the dedicated record button. Getting picky, but would be nice to have a recording output LED since having the recorder up hides the right hand 2 FX banks. Maybe one or all of the FX preset LEDs, since their function is a little confusing when using both FX banks? What do people believe?
