MF Deckalized+Instant Grat Mapping
MF Deckalized+Instant Grat Mapping Posted on: 27.05.2011 by Jodi Lacerra After a lot of requests and a long wait (sorry for it being so long) I finally got around to combining the original Deckalized mapping with the original Instant Gratification mapping for Traktor Pro. The main reason I want to release this is that the new "Deckalized+IG" mappings (for the MF Pros) have changed the core effects layouts and there were a lot of people that just wanted a combination of the original Deckalized and IGs (which most people are now familiar with), which this pretty much is. So far I only have one mapping of this type done (in Deckalized fashion where each deck associates with one MF) but I plan on finishing up Focus versions soon. The one thing you will want to pay attention to is that the "Sampler" uses the Slicer single effect in FX3 and all of the combos use Grouped effects in FX3. So, when you are switching back and forth between FX types Traktor won't activate the effect initially. In those cases, you just need to do it once to switch the fx types and selections and then it will work as expected. Also, in order to use the combos you need to have updated Midi Fighter firmware. Just try the Beatmasher one (all 4 mash buttons held down) and if that doesn't work, you probably need to update your firmware. Lastly, I changed Combo4 because honestly, it wasn't that cool before and I like what I changed it to better now. [Updated post to include Focus mappings] | |

Tatum Ansaldo 08.06.2011 | bout to leave work, give deets of the problem and I'll reply when I get home! |
Dewey Melchi 08.06.2011 | FEP - help meee. I am so confused, either it's not importing right after 2 imports, or I'm just dumb. Message me on facebook. I'll PM you my name. It'd be nice to figure out whats going on with it lol |
Tatum Ansaldo 08.06.2011 | I'm so pleased to have my slice mode back |
Lorelei Przybylowicz 07.06.2011 | Big ups man ! The MF wouldn't be the thing it is without your hard work ! |

You can then press one other beatmash value while toggled but after that it will turn off the effect with the press of any mash button. This is not meant to be a secret trick but just something I stumbled on but it is hard enough to do that I don't consider it a bug. I could get some similar level of fx holding though if I got rid of either the Shift+Mash Looping or the Shift+Bottom Row Tempo controls. But hey, I figured to keep it simple first and if there becomes a clear consensus on a customization of this mapping, I could get'er done. |
Tatum Ansaldo 06.06.2011 | Just played with it... All I can say is damn you flashflooder, now I have to move my MF buttons around again EDIT: Only slight thing is this that the effects don't stay on when pressing shift a la IG mapping. Flashflooder, is that possible to implement or a bridge too far? Thanks for all your hard work man. |
Randal Miniter 06.06.2011 | Wow, thats all I have to say about this mapping. I didnt need a visual, and if your familiar with both mappings, you can learn this one in about 5 minutes, I was beat juggling then pulling off an echo fade, broght the beat back with some mashing. This mapping is PERFECT, Making live Dubstep remixes like its no ones business!!! Thanks Flashflooder, must of been alot of hard work, thanks for making my MIDI Fighter the best it can be!! |
Sammie Okeeffe 06.06.2011 | nice nice nice.. something else to play with when i get home |

Tatum Ansaldo 06.06.2011 | Cheers flashflooder! Now the focus mappings are up I believe you may have created my perfect mapping |
Carma Panhorst 06.06.2011 | You my sir, are a genius! downloaded the mappings and made myself a mix this mapping is PERFECT for me! a MILLION thank you's my good sir! |
Jodi Lacerra 06.06.2011 | I just posted the Focus (all 4 decks) and FocusAB (only for Decks A & B) tsi's. Check the attachments on the original post. Shift + Sync is Deck Focus control like it was on the Deckalized focus mapping. I will try to get a visual layout done soon but basically this mapping is the Deckalized mapping with the bottom row of buttons emulating the FX from that same bottom row on the Instant Gratification mapping. Plus, the combos are also in this mapping. If people need Tempo controls you can find what was on the top layer of the Deckalized mapping on the Shift layer of this bottom row. |
Carma Panhorst 04.06.2011 | can someone explain what this mapping does really? sorry |
Lauretta Ehrhorn 02.06.2011 | Thanks so much Flashflooder. Will be testing this when i get back from my hols. |
Janice Nahm 02.06.2011 | when i download it I cant import it into traktor pro. DJGRE, can you explain how you did it? |
Lorelei Przybylowicz 02.06.2011 | Good work Flashflooder ! Gonna download toevening ! |
Audry Croxford 01.06.2011 | Downloaded and used this mapping, and it works great. Am using it on my MF pro while waiting for the new mappings - but real quick... does anyone know if there is a way to use this mapping for more than one deck? like is there a shift + ? to switch the focus from Deck A to B etc.? Am I missing something really simple? Thanks and keep up the good work! |
Janice Nahm 02.06.2011 | I cant get it to work. i have an apple and when i download it and press the import button, it deletes the hercules rmx mapping and nothing shows up under the assignment table. |
Ethel Saracco 29.05.2011 | Awesome work! I imagine that was no small task. Thanks for sharing! I too am looking forward to the Focus version and a graphic of the mapping layout. |
Randal Miniter 28.05.2011 | I love it if there was a way to use a 3 button shift technique to switch to and from each original mapping |
Marva Cupid 28.05.2011 | cant wait till the focus mapping |
Melia Balvaneda 27.05.2011 | i just got done messing with it, and it doesn't use 4 bank mode. Its basically the same as the Deckalized, but the bottom 4 buttons are effects like instant grat. unless you hold shift then the bottom 4 are pitch controls. and then the combos are in there as well but its great! a nice step up from deckalized. lemme know if i missed anything! |
Marva Cupid 27.05.2011 | Dose it use 4banks mode |
Gloria Lemmel 27.05.2011 | Can you post an image of exactly what the mapping is? Are 2 banks IG and 2 Deckalized, or is there some nice modulation to the Deckalized Mapping being that the instant gratification covers some of the features in deckalized (ex. Beatmasher.) For example, just a basic layout of the mapping like this: |
Melia Balvaneda 27.05.2011 | AWeeeesome, gonna try it out right now |
Ella Rick 27.05.2011 | Awesome, can't wait |
