Claude K's VCI-300 / T Pro .tsi - V1.1.... Posted on: 17.12.2008 by MadMan Ajms Hi all,I am starting to dig into the programming of Traktor Pro and using the modifiers and here is my first TSI. I have gotten most of everything I need to play out and running like Itch style, but now with FX. ..I made a lil video but have revised a few things today and will keep on modding to make this the best we can. I am using Mini.trans and all is cool, but have to say not as tight as Itch. So here are the basic commands.. FILES MODE= FX MODE turns most knobs to control the FX . The Eq's are left alone globally. Turn it of to go back to regular control. Knobs are: FX 1 TRIM (FX 1 Amount) CUE IN 1-3/OUT turn on/off fx and flip through FX banks. SHIFT+TRIM is FX 1 WET/DRY for all FX or use PITCH sliders FX 2 are controlled via Volume sliders FX 3 controlled via Platters and amount is controlled via MON SELECT (MASTER CUE KNOB) per deck a/b (flips between both when using platters a or b) (influenced bu Ean's TSI !! Maybe he can make better Thanks Scratch ON =SCRATCH Filter On &Off /Low Bass EQ= SHIFT + DOUBLE Turn on FX1/2 Deck a/b = (SCROLL+Pitch Shift small buttons) VIEW BROWSER FULL= BROWSE BUTTON (Toggs On/OFF) [Once loading the selected track browser window closes] COPY DECK= SCROLL + KEY LOCK (Deck A sends to B and vica versa) Navigation Pretty straight forward...up/down buttons goes through browser & pushing the middle button Toggs to the Treelist and same up/down.. Also can sort through tracks via holding SCROLL+ PLATTER (like in Itch) LOAD TRACK like in Itch..SCROLL + PFL A OR B.. SEEK = SHIFT+ MONITOR SELECT KNOB= SEEKs THROUGH A TUNE (not in FX mode) LOOP ON/OFF/AUTO LOOP- works like it should (Autoloop) but working on led's..(next version) SYNC-as it says... EQ's (3 band) are all there and trims and cross fader hmm..what did I forget to mention..those are the basic controls.. all other controls work as they are on the VCI-300 .. what is coming:To do list: -still many buttons left to control like CENSORs.. -CUE point's (1-3) on main controls.. -maybe better cue and play pause control - scratch over cdj mode but need to control pitch via platters too..(T pro update??) - deck mixing (DECKS C+D) -Tuning ENJOY!! | Andriy Gavrysh 06.06.2009 | np well... if you use traktor pro with your vci-300 you can add some extra controllers (e.g. a novation nocturn or some korg pads or something similar) e.g. i've got my vci-300 with traktor pro mapped and a extra korg nanopad which controls a 3rd deck (for playing back samples), the FX-Units and the pitch and filter of all 3 decks... my personal opinion is: if you like to have perfect beatmatch capabilities - buy a vci-300 and use it with itch, if you're planning to sync your tracks and like to use fx or something not standard (like cue-juggling and such) - buy a vci-100 and use it with traktor (or buy a vci-300 and use it with traktor with an extra controller - but i guess the price of the unit isn't worth it if you only use traktor) |
| Vinnie Tikka 06.06.2009 | thanks for the uberfast reply! this sucks big time though. you can't even have gain, hi/mid/lo and a filter for each channel. why the heck they cropped so many knobs from the 100... and not even the upcoming FX unit can fix this. guess that means VCI 100 for me... :/ |
| Andriy Gavrysh 06.06.2009 | 2 of the three knobs are not mappable (master volume and cue/phone-volume) because they directly control the output of the built-in soundcard. but they're the only controls which are not mappable. |

| MadMan Ajms 04.06.2009 | sorry everyone, I have kind of retired from this for a while and using The VCI-300 for Itch and 100- for Traktor. With my last mapping, Traktor does not have scratching ability. I am not sure about touching the platter and the song stopping. I will try to load my last TSi made for Traktor 1.1+ and see what happens. |

| Geneva Mahadevan 03.06.2009 | I've installed Traktor pro 1.1 Installed the asio4all drivers and that resolved the Chipmunk voice - Thank You I have removed the mini.translator. I'm using claudeks mapping. vci300_tp1.tsi Everything works well except for a few below. Now when i touch the jog wheel the music stops, when i touch it again it starts. I still cannot scratch using the jog wheel. Can someone tell me how to do it? Secondly i cannot use the jog wheel to search the cue point in the song as how in itch you can do so. Is there any solution to this? Lastly the pitch shift / knob does not work. I can't increase/decrease the BPM. I can only do so on the software interface not on the VCI-300 interface. I really hope Claudek / Morbido can help me out. |

Now I'm trying to use the old tsi file i downloaded, but i keep getting the same problem. I'm unable to scratch or even use the jog wheels. Which is the latest .tsi file ?? Could you give me the link to it? I tried downloading claudeks first one, but it's not there anymore. thank you, Raj |

Hey rajsingh - as i answered your other post you should do a few things: - remove mini.translator - install the newest version of traktor pro (1.0.1 is quite old) Then try the mapping again (WITHOUT mini.translator), you should be able to move the jog wheels then. Then you could check your audio settings and maybe post them here - so we can help you with that. But one word of advice: If you're a HipHop DJ and want to be able to scratch nice you should really use Itch. Scratching in Traktor Pro isn't charming at all, scratching in Itch is. |

I've currently got traktor pro version 1.0.1.070 installed I'm using midi translator and it works great. I've also used your .tsi file (vci300_TP1.tsi) It maps ok. I just can't scratch or operate my jog wheel. I'm a HipHop DJ. I also can't use the jog wheel to cue. Are there solutions for this? My real problem right now is the sound that comes out from my speakers sounds like a chipmunk is singing on all the tracks. I assume it's some setting i've done wrong, but i really don't know what to do. Been trying to solve this for 2 days now. There are snaps here for both the Midi.trans and in TPro. I am close to finishing a new version, but hard to let go, until Traktor Pro turns 1.03. Good luck. |

| Andriy Gavrysh 13.01.2009 | no, you don't really have to format your pc... i believe it's enough to create a second administrator account and name it properly... then you'll always have to switch your account if you want to dj, but this way you wouldn't have to reformat your pc... |
