Search field escape without clear mappable?
Search field escape without clear mappable? Posted on: 05.07.2012 by Lashay Walchak I could've sworn the DJTT map for my VCI-100 did this and I can't for the life of me find how to map it in Traktor only. (could achieve with Bome's, but it will conflict with other parts of the map).I remember when you entered browser mode the search field would automatically put the cursor up and wait for keyboard input (actually disliked it at the time and was one of the things I'd delete from the map). But if memory serves correct it also automatically went back to keyboard function when the browser mode was closed. This is mostly interrupting my work flow from trying to jump from on playlist to the other w/o having to click elsewhere on the screen or clearing my search and returning keyboard mapping via the ESC key. Anyone have the answer? | |

| Nedra Fresneda 04.07.2012 | All you are missing is a command to exit the search box but you would have to press enter anyways if you wanted Traktor to search the whole collection rather than the playlist/folder you are in. Still better than nothing. |
| Lashay Walchak 04.07.2012 | That's great! Thank you, I did not realize Enter worked as such. But there is a(nother) missing MIDI function that does not do that correct? I've got search and search clear, but it's that very function we've just pin pointed that I was hoping to map. Again I know I could use Bome's to convert MIDI>keystroke but I wouldn't want to interfere with the Loop Recorder, but now that we believe about it I rarely use the Loop Record button on the keyboard anyhow. *edits mapping and moves on Thanks again! |
| Nedra Fresneda 05.07.2012 | Browser/List/Search+Search Clear. Hit enter after you finished searching. The search function now works as trigger, believe it had toggle functionality in T3. |
