Reply to Search field escape without clear mappable?

I could've sworn the DJTT map for my VCI-100 did this and I can't for the life of me find how to map it in Traktor only. (could achieve with Bome's, but it will conflict with other parts of the map).

I remember when you entered browser mode the search field would automatically put the cursor up and wait for keyboard input (actually disliked it at the time and was one of the things I'd delete from the map). But if memory serves correct it also automatically went back to keyboard function when the browser mode was closed. This is mostly interrupting my work flow from trying to jump from on playlist to the other w/o having to click elsewhere on the screen or clearing my search and returning keyboard mapping via the ESC key.

Anyone have the answer?
