I reaaly like my s4

After getting the S4 last week and setting it up om my MBP I started practicing and getting to know it and my opinion on this baby is....WOW what a nice piece of art...I'm sorry for probably sound a little rookie, but it impressed me for real...
I don't have much time to practice because I finish my day job at 7:00 pm every weekday and I have to play with my children and wify, but when I get the chance to go upstairs and play with the S4 I enjoy every minute of it..

My own story...thanks for listening guys..

its either s4, or decent analog ( have a djm600/700 but they are the communal mixers) and add something like the reloop contour to the mix as when i mix with the boys, its almost impossible to mix into them without wheels (unless its house, as a 10 year old can mix that *whistle* )

My s4 is my baby . I love it! Never gonna sell it, or get rid of it, ever. I may upgrade years down the line, but I will keep my S4 forever.

Many of us are in the same boat as you, I have 2 little boys that take a ton of time. I try and get 20 mins here and there to mix, it's def a a stress reliever for me.

I actually have taught my 4 year old how to use a bunch of the functions on the S4. I've taught him a few basics that he's really gotten a grasp of...like these things:

- Jog wheel (how to scratch and bend)
- What the pitch fader does (faster and slower)
- How to return to the beginning of a song by pressing cue
- How to cross fade
- How to use the volume faders
- How to filter

He really loves it and he respects it because I've explained to him how important it is to me. It's a cool time we have together, maybe try it with your kids. At first they'll get crazy believeing its a toy but after a few times of you showing them they'll love it. I even give my 4 year old time to play on his own,I just load up to cheesy radio songs and he goes to town.

Glad you're having fun.
Nice story - also got a 4 year old. He's not into games/TV etc. (thank god) - but loooooooves music. Have to hide my iPod from him. Problem is, he digs Pink & Sharam - not sure I want to subject my S4 to that. His saving grace is he also digs Audion/Matthew Dear and Echologist - there IS hope.

Mine on it's way - all the way from DJTT. Just got the damage on my credit card R6800.00 vs. R9999.00 if I bought locally. Thus far saved about $400. Not sure yet about duties - I'll let you know.......
My old Monster USB's are making damn fine shoe laces - got DJTT's USB's in there as well............

ive been doing this thing on and off for over 20 years.

the s4 is the most intuitive, fun, piece of dj gear ive ever used.

the midi fighter is the 2nd most fun piece of gear ive ever used.
