I reaaly like my s4 Posted on: 04.03.2011 by Magda Lizza After getting the S4 last week and setting it up om my MBP I started practicing and getting to know it and my opinion on this baby is....WOW what a nice piece of art...I'm sorry for probably sound a little rookie, but it impressed me for real...I don't have much time to practice because I finish my day job at 7:00 pm every weekday and I have to play with my children and wify, but when I get the chance to go upstairs and play with the S4 I enjoy every minute of it.. My own story...thanks for listening guys.. | |

Latoria Kavulich 05.03.2011 | its either s4, or decent analog ( have a djm600/700 but they are the communal mixers) and add something like the reloop contour to the mix as when i mix with the boys, its almost impossible to mix into them without wheels (unless its house, as a 10 year old can mix that *whistle* ) |
Latoria Kavulich 05.03.2011 | i just sold my little imix i used as a mixer at home so really need to believe about getting a decent one analog one soon. some big decisions in the next 2 months. |

Not sure yet about duties - I'll let you know....... My old Monster USB's are making damn fine shoe laces - got DJTT's USB's in there as well............ |
Karolis Petrauskas 04.03.2011 | @wiseguy - I'm glad you're enjoying the S4. The unit brought back a lot of fun in mixing for me. Prior to the S4 I had the vci-300 and I'm really happy I upgraded. I've always been a traktor user at heart. Many of us are in the same boat as you, I have 2 little boys that take a ton of time. I try and get 20 mins here and there to mix, it's def a a stress reliever for me. I actually have taught my 4 year old how to use a bunch of the functions on the S4. I've taught him a few basics that he's really gotten a grasp of...like these things: - Jog wheel (how to scratch and bend) - What the pitch fader does (faster and slower) - How to return to the beginning of a song by pressing cue - How to cross fade - How to use the volume faders - How to filter He really loves it and he respects it because I've explained to him how important it is to me. It's a cool time we have together, maybe try it with your kids. At first they'll get crazy believeing its a toy but after a few times of you showing them they'll love it. I even give my 4 year old time to play on his own,I just load up to cheesy radio songs and he goes to town. Glad you're having fun. |
Bridget Liner 04.03.2011 | I've had mine for a few weeks now and love it.. trying to find some vacation time to just take a whole day off to have fun. I know I haven't even scratched the surface of what it can do. |
