S4 with DJTT Knobs and Faders
S4 with DJTT Knobs and Faders Posted on: 31.01.2011 by Charline Dye The VCI knob pack arrived today. The faders needed a little help fitting, but weren't too much trouble.I put them where I did to go with a 12inch skin i'm going to put on. | |

Wiley Pollastrini 29.12.2011 | i need an s4 bag so i am going to go ahead and order the knobs and faders also. i just can't decide what colors i want. dang. also curious if djtt is making a knob w/o the visible line. one that can replace the loop & browse knobs. |
Yvonne Spirou 26.11.2011 | Hey DJTT, what about a fourth knob variation for the endless "Browser" Buttons? Next to the faders and filters the most obvious knob to "mark" or "make visible".. |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 26.11.2011 | Plain old chalk white for me for visibility in a dark booth that i work in weekly. |
Kecia Wnukowski 26.11.2011 | Custom painted stock ones white and blue relating to the s4's colour code, some orange ones from Dj's face and DJTT's one for FX units and crossfader. |
Len Lukawski 17.11.2011 | May as well spam you all some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP-SmmWXkzU |
Kristofer Krauel 17.11.2011 | Yeah UK customs has created some form of worm hole that actually sends your parcel back in time by about 5 days!!! |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 17.11.2011 | They were shipped yesterday: 16 November 2011 23:47:01 GMT Ill post up the moment they arrive. Im in UK and things tend to slooooooow down when they land here but... |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 17.11.2011 | Will post a pic of my S4 as soon as the knobs arrive (in transit right now). Replacing everything apart from the gain and loop encoders with Chalk White knobs and faders. Even replacing the pitch faders. Will make it so much easier in the dark booth i work in. |
Yvonne Spirou 17.11.2011 | Nice blue ones.. Are the faders more rubbery than the S4s? Like the default knobs on the S4? Really interested in seeing the white DJTT knobs and faders.. Afraid that they come in some ugly grey instead of clean nice white.. |

Gene Beauplan 16.11.2011 | I have an S2 with blue super knobs. I'll post later today |
Yvonne Spirou 16.11.2011 | Would be nice if - now that there are the "perfect" knobs out - people who changed their knobs and faders could post some pics of their S4s.. Would like to see some different colour variations.. |
Mariano Godina 31.03.2011 | Well, i still can't find knobs with a nice bright white line marker (like the djm 800 ones) that will fit the S4. Doing my head in! |
Mariano Godina 07.02.2011 | Thanks photojojo. I like it with the grey knobs for my filters as it easily distinguishes the filters instead of everything being black. On the Rean knobs website, they have some great knobs, but i need to be sure of the correct size for the S4 (6mm D shape right?) and if they have removable inserts, so that if the line marker doesnt match up then i can change it to make it line up. Just been looking on their site, they actually show the knobs as N,S,E,W i.e according to the 'D' placement. The S4 knobs are 'south'. I'm getting there!! |
Karolis Petrauskas 06.02.2011 | I like the S4 knobs...I have a set of rane knobs here that fit fine but they are smaller then the stock knobs. |

Probably you could find some that fit on Rean's website http://www.reanknobs.com/index.php?id=26 |
Mariano Godina 06.02.2011 | Here's a couple of pics - Pioneer djm 800 knob underneath - I also took 4 knobs off my Access virus Ti Polar synth and they fit perfectly, i put them in place of the filter knobs, not sure if i'll keep it like that, but they sure do easily show me my filter knobs (rubber feel to them too like the S4 knobs) - |
Mariano Godina 06.02.2011 | Just had a look at my djm 800 knobs, the inside of them looks like it may come out, but not very easily. Just wondering if you guys had any tips on removable Inserts? |
Mariano Godina 06.02.2011 | Ah! Removable insert! Right, now I'm on it. I didn't check to look for that. Thanks guys, I hope my djm800 knobs have a removable insert. I'll swap them over if possible. |
Charline Dye 05.02.2011 | Did the knobs have a removeable insert? The DJTT/DJ'sFace knobs do, so you can point them in the right direction. |
Leeanna Ayla 05.02.2011 | You should be able to swap the inside out to make the knob line up correctly. |
Mariano Godina 05.02.2011 | I went to my local Dj store today and tested a bunch of knobs on the S4, a few fit nicely but all of them had the same problem - the White line marker on the knob didn't line up correctly on the S4! Gutted |

Yes, I bought mine for the Xone dx and use the ones they were selling for the Xone products, as I'm not using the DX I just tried them on the S4, the black insert has just to be positioned correctly. They are loose but nothing you cant' fix with some paper put inside the hole so they hold correctly. |
Mariano Godina 06.02.2011 | Ah ok, very clever. I wonder if the knobs from 'dj'sface.com' have the same ability? Last thing i want is to buy some only to find they don't line up correctly. I believe Yul said he got the Xone knobs and sliders from there, how were they Yul? Did they line up correctly? |
Charline Dye 04.02.2011 | The knobs from DJTT have a removable insert that can be turned around to accommodate for that situation. |
Mariano Godina 04.02.2011 | Hey Van, I'm also looking at replacing some of the knobs & faders on my S4. I tried a knob from my pioneer djm 800 - they fit like a dream, BUT, they 'point the wrong way - i.e when the S4 knob is at 12 o clock position the knobs white line actually shows it at 9 o clock. This lead me to believe, will this be the same with all other knobs do you believe? |
Charline Dye 04.02.2011 | Knobs fit fine on mine. Not loose at all. They are not as tight as the origionals though, but not coming off easy either. As stated in first post, I had to help the faders fit. |
robin loo 04.02.2011 | i tried this, but there's a small space left between the green knobs and S4's surface. they are really loose too, so i removed them immediately. cant dj with loose knobs.. |
Charline Dye 03.02.2011 | No skin yet. I'm waiting for the guy to respond. I believe he was stacked up on business after NAMM. I called after a week and he said he would get to my email in order received. Still waiting. Will post pic after it comes in. |
Mariano Godina 03.02.2011 | That is so freaking cool vangogo! I'm gonna get me some of them knobs! Did you get the skin on yet? |
Charline Dye 01.02.2011 | It looks like they just slide in the groove, but I would put a little glue on it if it came out easily. |

Stefania Robusto 01.02.2011 | Did you have any of the black lines fall off the knobs? It happened to two of mine when I had to put them on. Do they snap on or do I have to glue them back on? |
