Well, regarding the gear.... The mighty BCR can be enough for me. Travel and other expenses paid would already be a nice deal for me.

Let's continue this chat over here.

Yeah, everyone can give us their futurist products. We can even were not so cool gear. That way they'll sponsor us. That would amazing. DvlsAdvct you are mildly famous, do it!

DOOD! We totally need to set up an industrial club tour on nothing but crazy tech gear. like, cyber DJ shit. Would totally fly with this scene

2 would definitely be awesome. There would be so many possibilities with those controllers. And yeah, I don't need another sound card. Mine is great for me.

Talking about all this is making me want to audition it or something. GRR! Release a promotion stand in a music shop or something. I wish to touch it!!!
Roberto Viccione

Yeah, but how awesome would it be to have two of those OTUS things... who needs two sound cards?

nobody

Who needs two of those things?

Me!

I looked into it more and the circles on the outside of the unit (4 total) are jog wheels also!

On the subject of the vci-300 v. Otus....
The vci-300 looks like they are shooting themselves in the face. ITCH only, I know that there is a work around but come on. I do agree about the whole switching decks obstacle. That would suck... This is very tough, but I never been a fan of the vci-100. Too small for me, I have big stupid figures.

Then again all of their controllers have a built in sound card. Weirdos...
I could live with the RAW too.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's really expensive. If it didn't have a built in sound card I'd say less. I know I won't have the funds for it but I'll do many... many things for them

So you are saying if the price stays the same, I can expect $1100 USD? Christ! I believe I would get the NS7 or something. It's just so pretty, it has so much to offer. I am still awkward about the internal sound card though.

I am torn. At least I have a month or two to decide.

Tough? Dude, it's from aluminum. You have to really put effort into that if you want drop it to render it motionless.

Thanks on the headsup for the pricing!

Just been watchin some of those vids, looks nice - seems very light though, wonder how tough it'd be? anyway had a quick search and found this if anyone is interested... http://www.westenddj.co.uk/product.a...eed=GoogleBase

Just hope it will end up meeting all of our expectations!

Well, the XP10 is 209 euros... which is around $325... and they'll probably charge 399 cause they're bastards.

So I could easily see the OTUS topping $800 or $1000 :-) good times, right?

and it really sucks for me cause I'm obsessed with symmetry and would want two

that would also rock, though. It would render all my other MIDI gear pretty useless, though :-(
gilbert hatem
04.08.2008
Well when it comes down to it. The only thing that is going to hold me back from getting one of these is if the price goes over $800. This is such a sweet piece of gear . Hell, I might buy even it's over 1000. lol

Just watched them. These Otus guys really do understand - they talk about futureproofing, using external soundcards as an option, and making sure all controls are assignable to whatever function you want.

Color me impressed.

I can't find a price quote anywhere either. I believe its going to be really interesting to see the tks file variants for this controller. There is just so much on this one deck. Also the touch pad will keep you away from you computer even more (+5 points lol).

Well.. the EKS side still states 1st of September. So I am nervous like a little boy for christmas.

Are they also mentioning a selling price?
gilbert hatem
04.08.2008
I don't believe that they are for sale just yet. It says on their site it will be out September 1st. But its hard to tell when they will sell internationally.

edit:
If anyone is interested here is the link to their page.

Also, they are going to be releasing something called the otus raw. I believe it may not have a sound card built in... which is what I would prefer. The problem is I believe the took away a few buttons. They say its the bridge between CDJ and digital. I am very excited.

Are they selling these already?

I am still waiting for these badboys to come out after the MusikMesse 2008.

Its crazy looking, but they sell them at any of the shops here. So I haven't been able to play with one.
