Posted on: 08.10.2009 by Herlinda Koep
hi all im using my brand new vci 100 and when in traktor pro im getting this problem and was wondering if its the vci or not,

when cross faders in the middle both decks play but as i slide it on direction
the midi light doesnt like up till it touches the other side?

also it seems real loose compared to the vol control on the deck?

is this what its surpose to be like or not

sorry if this is a dumb question need to know if i need to take it back with me tomorrow

thankyou

Yup the cross fader is supposed to be super loose, that makes it much easier to do cross fader techniques than if the cross fader was as stiff as the line faders

it just feels loose and it wasnt transmitting anything untill i went either all the way left or all the way right,

so i couldnt bring a song out slowly etc if i were to use that fader..

another thing what latency setting is best? is lower best mines set on 30???

thanks
Definitely sounds like the curve adjustment on the back

As for latency just set it as low as possible, but before sound quality starts to degrade (crackles/pops).

Theres a knob on the back of your unit for crossfader curve. Check to see if its turned up all the way.
