Thinking about painting my X-Session
Thinking about painting my X-Session Posted on: 01.05.2010 by Verona Fashbaugh I'm considering giving my M-Audio X-Session pro a fresh coat of paint because, well, I want to. And should something go terribly wrong, I'm only out $100.1) Is this even possible? It's plastic. 2) Should I take off all the knobs and remove the faceplate? I'm assuming getting paint in the electrical components would be a bad idea. | |
Wayne Washko 07.05.2010 | was super easy as mentioned above - see the attachement for the colour scheme i chose. white was my first thought - then i thought this would look better along side the x10314001629.jpg |

Matthew Urtel 01.05.2010 | the knobs you could just paint and clear coat and see how it holds up. the rubber buttons i would just leave or put a vinyl sticker/cover on. |
Verona Fashbaugh 01.05.2010 | Man that looks pretty tight. I was believeing about painting mine white too... I'm actually believeing about painting the knobs and stuff too, but I don't know what I would do about the buttons.... hmm... |
Matthew Urtel 01.05.2010 | This; http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=118 Has excellent coverage, and goes on thick. It says don't prime, but I prime everything. This is mine http://img341.imageshack.us/i/xsession.jpg/ |
Verona Fashbaugh 01.05.2010 | ^^^ No kidding! What kind of paint did you use? |
Matthew Urtel 01.05.2010 | lol it is so easy, just disassemble it, sand the top, prime it, paint it put on 5 coats of clear and re assemble. It honestly took me 1 hour to disassemble, paint and reassemble. |
