Reply to Thinking about painting my X-Session

I'm considering giving my M-Audio X-Session pro a fresh coat of paint because, well, I want to. And should something go terribly wrong, I'm only out $100.

1) Is this even possible? It's plastic.

2) Should I take off all the knobs and remove the faceplate? I'm assuming getting paint in the electrical components would be a bad idea.
