Just noticed on decks they have a new Allen & Heath controller listed but with no info...

Wow, you my friend, are obviously quite talented. That, or you have stubby fingers and may need a dialing wand.

Regarding the DB4. NICE! Really really damn nice. This to me looks like the new DJM-800, as it seems like it'll be the new standard. However, I know better than that, because Pioneer will still dominate. But this baby looks top notch.

Here is why I would still not buy an Allen&Heath. THEY'RE JUST TOO DAMN SEXY TO TAKE OUT OF THE HOUSE. Who would want to lug this bad boy to a club? You have no idea how many more gigs I have been able to get because I have the portability of the 57TTM. Now, I've pre-ordered the S4, and I plan on taking it out with me for sure! Just my two cents, to anyone that waited to see what A&H came out with before making any sudden purchases. Think about the true usability.

PS. Is there ANY midi on that thing?

A few more weeks and we shall see what this DB4 is.. my main concern is that it isnt huge and takes up a giant footprint like the xone 4d.

Looks very expensive... mind you, if it's essential to my workflow, price probably wouldn't matter.

Nice piece of kit though! A rear panel shot would be nice, but that'll probably be out before the end of the week.

The S4's 1:1 tactile integration with its software is a big sell for me... curious to know how any competitor can step to that... kinda like the way the NS7 works with Itch.... there's something to be said for a system that works "out-of-the-box".

Having said that, I'm still baited by A&H's teaser..... although I'm somewhat less anxious knowing I probably can't afford whatever it is.

A&H just need to lose the long throw buttons, thats maybe one thing thats stops me from buying the DX, besides the price, the fact the S4 is coming out and now the DB. So many choices to wage.

They would kill the controller market with decent sized touch/jogs with vinyl mode and the rest of the a&h lovleyness.

I have mine preordered from a place that regularly sells A&H. They dont have it in the system yet,... but now im in line... the second it is available for preorder. Some products you can buy blind.. This will be the case for me on this one... been sitting back forever on getting an all in one device

I believe It make for Ableton Live
maybe no Jog Wheel but Come with 8,16 led buttons/deck like X1
Julissa Serrone

i doubt it will have jogs. This will just be a 4 channel analog mixer, with midi capabilities. Think Serato + Bridge with no other midi device. Or TSP with no X1.

Im so curious! If it is a new controller, Im hoping its better than the DX and more impressive than the S4.

might even have touch sensitive jogs hopefully

a midi cable, some xlr's, and 4 sets of out cables.

Looks like this will be a midi bases 4 channel mixer to compete with mixers in the Rane 68 category. Too many controllers in the market right now, not enough fully capable midi mixers. This could be good.

If.. and thats still a big IF... its an Ableton Bridge/serato itch controller... Then you have a controller with a streamlined workflow that can probally end up being the first generation all in one combo. So if you own no other controllers to compliment it, then its probally a nice kit to use. Chances are youll have other stuff to add to it and yes you will have more control but still be back to square one with all this stuff to optimize and configure to your style which will change the moment something new comes out.
Still a big IF... Im using ableton more and more... and can see where this would be nice to have/use.. but I kind of am happy with the other controllers Im starting to get some use with.. and am wondering if the DB4 is DX sized or something like the 4d meets an akai apc 40. I love to speculate

why doesnt someone in the UK call that shop and ask about the product?
seems like this could lead to some more info.. im holding off ordering a DX just because of this possibility there is something better... the DX imho is not good because of not being able to use it without a computer

LoL, nice one Rokku!

Honestly, I hope it's a cheaper version of the DX, without the integrated soundcard.

Google image search returns lots of this, so it looks like a full DJ booth solution. You have drawers for your gear, lots of big dials on the front (probably endless encoders), and what looks like 5 touch sensitive jog wheels...very sweet...must be for the mobile DJ.

Probably some really expensive controller. Why must your products be so expensive!? I don't make enough from DJing to justify buying A&H gear...
Gear may seem expensive, but it can be worth it if you own that piece gear for a few years without troubles. I have owned my 1210s for nearly 20 years without trouble, they seem expensive when I brought them but they're still kicking. Same goes with mixers, I have bought many cheap $100 mixer to end up with broken faders and poor sound quality. And I had to purchase a new to redo the whole process again, now I own two high end mixers, which I might not need to replace unless something serious happens to them. But I now Im getting into controllers, Im looking for something that will last 3-4 years or more, till something greater comes out that fits my needs.
