Big problem with VCI 100
Big problem with VCI 100 Posted on: 30.12.2010 by Lacy Broida Today I recived my VCI 100.The Traktor LE CD that came with it got slight broken and now I cant install it. Now I have a few questions , please be kind to answer me : 1.I downloaded the demo version of Traktor 3. Does it have the same options as the Traktor LE? 2.When I tried to use the crossfader it didn't work at all as well as the volume faders of the 2 decks (sorry if Im not being exact on the names). Is it connected to the traktor version? 3.Im not hearing the same volume on both decks when I play there a song. (can't move between 2 decks because crossfader isn't working) , so I just tried to see if the volume is the same on both decks , it appears not. 4.In case the faders don't work in the LE\Demo version whatever , only if I upgrade to Pro I can get this features or I can upgrade to a lower level of Traktor and still get it? P.S : Im not using a soundcard atm so I kinda get lame sound from my speakers , does it affect other stuff? Edit : I saw that Demo and LE version are 2 different things. Is the LE version downloadable? Dan. | |

Lacy Broida 01.01.2011 | Ok thanks for all your help |
Maisie Marras 31.12.2010 | the answer to number 3 is that you need to raise the deck gain on your own (in pro its automatic) raise the gain till the audio levels just barely touch the top. |
Lacy Broida 31.12.2010 | Thanks mate |
So Francis 31.12.2010 | Sorry for posting again, but i found the best diagram you're gonna get. |
So Francis 31.12.2010 | Audio 2 is what I use. It has the same components as aduio 8 dj which is used professionally around the world, so I'd recommend it over the numark. And they both connect separately to your computer. http://www.dancetracksdigital.com/wp...06/djsetup.jpg just replace the second mixer in the pic with speakers |
Lacy Broida 31.12.2010 | Thanks it worked , and I'll believe about upgrading to pro seems like a good option. |
Leeanna Ayla 31.12.2010 | Download the Traktor demo from the NI site and I believe you can enter the LE code and it'll work, but I'm not 100% sure on that. There's one day left in the 50% off sale for Traktor now. I would take advantage of that as Pro unlocks tons of features. http://www.native-instruments.com/#/...-pro/?page=217 The Audio 2 is better. After you get everything run the setup wizard and it'll ask you the questions you need to set it up correctly. |
Lacy Broida 31.12.2010 | Thank you for your help, and yeah it's the older version of vci 100 it doesn't have a soundcard inside it. One last thing is I have 2 options for a external soundcard : 1.Numark Dj IO. 2.Audio 2 Dj. What's better? EDIT : I didn't understand yet what goes into what. The VCI 100 connects to the soundcard , and the the soundcard to the PC or the VCI 100 connects to the PC and the soundcard connects to the PC as well. |
So Francis 30.12.2010 | Oh and a question, is this a VCI-100 MKII or the older version? Cause the new one has a soundcard built into it. |
So Francis 30.12.2010 | 1. traktor 3 is an older version but i believe, i've never used it, has more features than LE. I would recommend you purchase TP...it is the best most stable version out there. 2.The reason the crossfader isn't working is because you are in external mixing mode, i remember i had that problem. go to settings and select internal mixing in the "output routing" section. 3. Not sure about this one. 4. If you get an LE license, or a duo license, the Crossfade should work, just make sure you are in internal mixing mode. Happy New Years, Doctor Mogal. EDIT: Oh, and not having a soundcard means you can't cue up songs on your headphone, which can be an issue...cause you won't be able to listen to a song unless its playing. EDIT 2: LE is not downloadable, it is special for the hardware you purchase, but it does come with things like the audio 2 dj sound card, which if you're planning on dj'ing live is a great deal for you.(its what i use) |
