behringer DDM 4000 - no Vertical and X faders working on traktor pro

Title of the thread pretty much explains it guys,

ive got my sound routed to external mixing, midi is working just not on the faders, which is pretty much one of my most important parts of mixing?

so confused, tried everything.

Are they not supposed to work or something?

sorry im such a noob with technology

yeah man but if i strip midi off the channels, then the whole point in using the ddm for midi is pointless (as i only use it for the 2 channelS) and then ive just wasted

no worries man, i could imagine how much of a pain in the ass this could be.

this is how i would run my setup if I was using the DDM-4000

1st. Their is no need to set the volume fader to midi being that you are controling the audio in external mode.

On Traktor goto setup>output options>mixing mode>external

Assuming you have a multi channel soundcard, setup it like this.

>Output CH 1 (L/R Output 1) to CH1 on DDM-4000 LINE IN

>Output CH 2 (L/R/ Ouput 2) to CH2 on DDM-4000 LINE IN

I've got a maya 44 sound card. Looks like the only thing to do is mix out of tractor off midi. Which isn't too bad. Just annoying I bought a USB hub and midi cables and also can't record via Traktor. Dam haha. Thanks for your help guys. Sorry for the angry replies haha

All the best for the new year

I answered your question in the other post yesterday. You need to turn the MIDI on the faders off.

Im set to external, been looking on the NI community s and they say you can only enable the faders in internal mode.

But if i go into internal mode then the monitoring and outputs all mess up and im back to square one, which is - not being able to do what i wanna do lol

It's not that we believe you're stupid, but 90% of the questions on here can be answered if the asker had just read the manual. Have you mapped the faders in Traktor? in controller manager add>generic midi then add in>mixer>volume fader>click learn and move the fader. Are you set to external or internal mixing?
Weston Peiler
30.12.2010
Well none of these have helped. Do you believe I'm that stupid tht I wouldn't read a manual!? The only thing it tells u is how to turn midi on. This has been done but the faders don't work. Also tree is no setup>midi> enable faders?
Leeanna Ayla

haha, that's exactly what I was believeing about.

go into the setup>midi> enable midi for the faders.

Have you met my cousin Manny? aka Manual or sometimes goes by Manuel....

Don't know much about the DDM 4000, but can't you turn the midi on and off for those faders? Make sure it's on. Do they work in external mode? Have they been mapped?
