Anyone own a pair. I would love some real user feedback on these. I've a lot of reviews that have been pretty favorable for them. I saw them in my local GC and was astonished at the size of em. I really wanna get a pair of CDJ's and I can I'll be able to swing about 400$ in 2 months. I have been torn between this and the Denon DN-S1200. The third option would be to suck it up and save for a pair of Pioneer 850 for 900$.

Anyone own a pair and have any thoughts?

I would look for some used CDJ400's - or like you said 850's. That way you'll never have to worry about getting new gear unless you really hit it big in the clubs - and even then you'll probably be fine with the 850's.

The NDX's are great, don't get me wrong - but even though Numark has improved their gear significantly over the last year (like they own some of the best controllers in the market and have improved their mixers) they still have the reputation of being an intermediate level company of gear while Denon, Pioneer, A&H etc. have the name that Numark doesn't have. So that way you'll feel like you have the best if you get the CDJ's, and honestly that feeling IMO is worth that extra wait.

Of course my opinion - a bit biased cause im getting 2 CDJ 400's and a Xone 22 soon so yeah :P

I have a NDX800 myself and as said before, for the price, i am VERY happy.

Can play from thumb drive, cd's, or be a midi controller.. I was weary about buying one at first because my last experience with numark (ndx200 lolol) was horrid.. But I would easily recommend these to anyone on a budget, or someone doesn't want to drop $$$$ on CDJ's..

I've owned CDJ200s & 800s and I have played on the NDX800s.

For the money, nothing comes close to the NDX800s imo.

They are much better than the 200s.
I would even prefer them to 400s cos I hate the jogs on them.

I played with mp3s on data discs and they were great.

They are very big and do feel a bit plastic so if you are moving them around a lot there may be a better option - but the controls and buttons are good an feel well made.

They also double as midi controllers for traktor, but I didn't try that so can't comment.

Go try a pair somewhere - you won't regret it.

All jog wheels are not built equally. The main reason I want a pair is to teach myself to beat match by ear alone. I know in this day it's a skill that is needed less and less and I could totally get along just fine without it. I like CDJs I like Vinyl. I'd really like something like the Denon DN-S3700 with the spinng platter control and if I were going into the 800-1000 range for a CDJ I would totally get those as I love the tactile feedback from actually holding a record in place.

It's simply something I want and if I buy something I want something that's going to last. I haven't heard the best of things about CDJ-200. I heard the 350's are pretty good thou. I really like the BIG CDJ's hence the NDX800. They take up a lot of space but man are they so much fun to play around with. I just recently saw another turntable on Ebay for cheap I may try to bid on it and see what happens and maybe just go control vinyls who knows.

Anyone else with more constructive feedback on the NDX800 or Denon's offerings?

I believe a jog wheel is a jog wheel and a pitch fader is a pitch fader.

I dont believe anything magical will happen when you finally get a pair.

If you do get them, make sure they have a usb option.

Try to spend as little money as possible, I found a pair of cdj 800 earlier this year coming from controllers and I believe I could have got a pair of cdj200's and had the same satisfaction.

The feel of a cdj is not worth the loot you need to put out for them.
