Fixing TMA-01 Wire
Fixing TMA-01 Wire Posted on: 19.07.2011 by Gilma Marchini I've sent in two request for a replacement chord for my TMA's, but even after a month of waiting I've gotten nothing in response. So I'm just going to fix my current one. I've watched a ton of videos, already own the tools, and just need to pick up the jack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...header-2103990) and do all the work.Any advice? Edit: The 1/8" segment of the wire got bent in my bag somehow, it chops between mono in my left and stereo if the wire moves at all | |

Yee Bedilion 21.07.2011 | Cool I got a pair of Denon headphones that needs a new lead on it. I got that and to replace micro switch on cdj800 as a couple projects. I just need a soldering iron. Thanks for the post!~ |
Dj LsEx 20.07.2011 | I love when people fix these little problems themselves. It's like basic literacy for DJs or anyone who works/plays with audio. Hopefully it's given you the confidence to fix other little problems in the future. Also, FCK YEAH NUO 3. |
Ella Rick 20.07.2011 | Nice one, At least you've fixed the problem yourself |
Gilma Marchini 19.07.2011 | Well, it's done. Fuck adapters, I went straight to 1/4" like a bawse. Picked up the tip on the way back from Radioshack for $5.75. It took about 40 mins and I soldered the wires down even though it was a solder free tip with screws to hold the wires in place. I cut some unnecessary amounts of chord off because it was too long for my taste. Noise free, sounds great, no clipping, and I've put it under some serious pressure and it won't budge. It also looks badass IMO. |

Kiyoko Wellisch 19.07.2011 | Sorry chubbz, that's the placebo effect! You may as well be using a coat hanger jammed into both ends as far as quality goes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-en...Quality_debate |
19.07.2011 | Hello... why not upgrade the wires all together rather than just fixing the conectors.... my friend did a great job on making me a new set of cables... since you say u have the tools and know how go for it... my friend did the whole mod in a couple of hours... some ppl might argue the worth of changing the cables but we both found the sound to be much better than using the original cables... chubbz |
Venetta Cawyer 19.07.2011 | I'd recomend a Switchcraft plug, those can survive a 100 man S.W.A.T. team and live to tell about it without broken connections. Look for Switchcraft 35HDBNS |
Ella Rick 19.07.2011 | Hey Ty, How old are your headphones? Are they still under warranty? |
