Reply to Fixing TMA-01 Wire

I've sent in two request for a replacement chord for my TMA's, but even after a month of waiting I've gotten nothing in response. So I'm just going to fix my current one. I've watched a ton of videos, already own the tools, and just need to pick up the jack (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...header-2103990) and do all the work.

Any advice?

Edit: The 1/8" segment of the wire got bent in my bag somehow, it chops between mono in my left and stereo if the wire moves at all
