Cristobal Madhavan 10.11.2011 | lots of, um, information in here. pioneer is overpriced, id hardly say garbage. same talk of technics in their heyday. they used to cost way more than any other turntable and people talked crap, AND people paid it just like they |

Kiyoko Wellisch 10.11.2011 | Actually I'd interested in how much the sound card in the CDJ1000s cost... |
Cristobal Madhavan 10.11.2011 | Ok |
Kiyoko Wellisch 10.11.2011 | CDJ200s are terribad and you can get a good sounding sound card for less than 400$, that's fo sho. |

Kiyoko Wellisch 09.11.2011 | It was a good joke ;D |
Yong Aptekar 09.11.2011 | My apologies to anyone that almost raged on my post, just pure sarcasm. Anyone who has read my posts know I love the fact that there are 100s of ways to mix music, and all mediums. I love you guys here, this community has been the biggest help getting into djing. But man, do these threads degrade quick lol. Its the internet gentlemen, no need to blow a fuse just because someone has a different opinion. The speakers don't know if you are using cdjs, tts, midi, or 3 tapedecks wired together through a mixer. |

Yong Aptekar 09.11.2011 | Lol its one of those sarcastic mornings at work. I love my controllers, and I LOVE my TTs more, just not as portable or light lol I'm glad you didn't rage on me |

But in all seriousness, price and portability. My decks are heaaavy, my controllers are super light and I can toss everything in my backpack. Customization is a big factor too. I am constantly mapping and remapping my controllers as my workflow evolves. |
Odis Stirewalt 09.11.2011 | would made this poll multichoice. i would check all 4 and add another points like getting more paid and have his artistname written in doublesize on the flyer just because you use a midicontroller+ableton and call it LIVE when you make your DJ job with ableton ^^ |
Johnetta Olewine 09.11.2011 | good lord. Mostapha, do you ever believe that effort you put into your ridiculously verbose prose might be better directed somewhere else? On topic, for me, controllers were something that sort of morphed from spending a bit of time trying to dj with ableton live some years ago and became my dj tool of choice after spending a year on the road travelling. I like the customisation, and the exciting new things that are available when djing with software. |
Dorie Scelzo 09.11.2011 | This is going to be long |
Misti Depa 08.11.2011 | portability, price, and creativity. Although id like to have a set of turntables for my home setup |
Hazel Oeschger 08.11.2011 | Price and portability. To be honest, I'm not interested in putting 3000+ |
Darcey Mens 08.11.2011 | Portability and creativity for me. Knowing I can take one backpack to a gig if needed and being able to do virtually anything I want on my setup are two key points for me. |
Arlinda Finazzo 08.11.2011 | I no longer "professionally" dj, after playing local raves and clubs for 5 years... I've fallen out of the scene mostly due to family and work. It's gone from club dj, to bedroom hobby (for the love of interacting with house music). So I sold my expensive setup of CDJ 1000's and the DJM-500, and downgraded to a nice compact all-in-one setup (the Vestax TR-1) with Traktor Pro 2. I might upgrade towards the Traktor Kontrol S2... I would like full control of the sample decks and I actually do miss the jog wheels (without them I tend to rely on auto-sync, even though I easily beatmatched with vinyl and cdj's for years). |
Delmar Swamy 08.11.2011 | This is becoming interesting *gets my popcorn* |
Kiyoko Wellisch 08.11.2011 | Actually you're right. Sorry about that. His post made no sense. Buy an S4 AND traktor pro? Buy a midifighter AND padkontrol? Redundancy much? I don't see why you'd need more than an S4 anyway. That and a super powerful macbook is hardly required for a bit of djing... |
