Echo Audiofire 4 Traktor 2 Problem
Echo Audiofire 4 Traktor 2 Problem Posted on: 08.03.2012 by Cornelius Matlosz My setup/process:plug in and turn on Numark Mixtrack (not Pro) & APC40. open ableton, wait for the red box to appear (blanks APC default mapping), close ableton open Traktor 2 This has worked with just my controllers and maps properly. I just got my external soundcard (Echo Audiofire 4). I installed the drivers and now my issue is: The computer recognizes the soundcard. Drivers seem to be installed successfully. But when I try to select the soundcard in Audio Setup, it tells me "Please connect and select audio device." This is after I've already turned the device on and plugged it in. What's the problem? Could it be that I need to turn the device on at a different point in the process of turning everything on? I had installed Asio before, so I still have that installed on my computer I believe, but it shows up in a separate slot anyways. I have a Sony Vaio Z890 and the slots that show up for selection are: ASIO Echo FireWire (ASIO) ASIO4ALL v2 Realtek High Definition Audio (my computer's chip) | |

Sulema Eshel 03.05.2012 | In fact, believe I may have had the "Please connect and select audio device"... not sure if it was on the Layla card, or my Behringer BCD3000 or maybe even Citronic MP-X10.. but whatever it was, a reboot usually sorted it. YMMV |
Sulema Eshel 03.05.2012 | You want to be using the ASIO Echo FireWire (ASIO) interface in Traktor. DON'T use ASIO4All!! That's just a emulation (or something like that) of ASIO for windows drivers. I have an Echo Layla 3G, and select the card's ASIO driver without issue (not that that helps you really). My 3G is a PCI card, so it is installed when the PC is switched on... do you have your card plugged in and switched on (if it uses power) when you switch the lappy on?? If no, then try that. GL |
