Echo Audiofire 4 Traktor 2 Problem
My setup/process:
plug in and turn on Numark Mixtrack (not Pro) & APC40.
open ableton, wait for the red box to appear (blanks APC default mapping), close ableton
open Traktor 2

This has worked with just my controllers and maps properly. I just got my external soundcard (Echo Audiofire 4). I installed the drivers and now my issue is:

The computer recognizes the soundcard. Drivers seem to be installed successfully. But when I try to select the soundcard in Audio Setup, it tells me "Please connect and select audio device." This is after I've already turned the device on and plugged it in. What's the problem? Could it be that I need to turn the device on at a different point in the process of turning everything on? I had installed Asio before, so I still have that installed on my computer I believe, but it shows up in a separate slot anyways. I have a Sony Vaio Z890 and the slots that show up for selection are:

ASIO Echo FireWire (ASIO)
ASIO4ALL v2
Realtek High Definition Audio (my computer's chip)
