Werner Bile 22.05.2012 | Technics RP-DH1200s. Got them a couple years ago and I've never regretted it. Great bass response and comfortable as hell. |
Danae Dumler 14.05.2012 | TMA-1 AIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAIAs here. They sound great, have killer isolation, and take a beating. |
Tova Duignan 12.05.2012 | And also you should hope they dont break as easy as the 1000s. |
Donella Bentch 12.05.2012 | I'm excited about the new Pioneer HDJ 1500. Looks very nice- particular in black. Hope it sounds good. |

Khadijah Bucker 08.05.2012 | There's a reason they're so popular, my next headphones for sure |
Tova Duignan 07.05.2012 | Hey everybody i finally got my hd25s and now i can surely say that everything that the people said about them in this thread is 101% true!. The bass is really there but its not too much so as to cover the other frequencies. The mid freqs are clear so are the highs that are a little bit more accentuated making it easier to mix when you dont use the low frequencies. Overall a great pair of headphones! |
Iluminada Gallelli 07.05.2012 | I have the Allen & Heath XD-53's. They have good sound, good volume, look nice, and are fairly comfortable to wear for extended periods. The only thing is I with they had a detachable cord. I also like the Audio Technica ATH-M50's as well. |

Tova Duignan 30.04.2012 | And what are you going to do with them? |
Marcos Zelko 29.04.2012 | HDJ-2000 + V-moda crossfade LPs. I will be picking up hd25s tho, just because I'm a headphone whore... Also probably pickup the new A&H xd53s |
Donella Bentch 29.04.2012 | Check out the Shure 750 DJ- it sounds wonderful, is loud and comfortable for a price at 99.- Euro |
Inez Marcinik 28.04.2012 | I believe hd-25s look awesome personally. Flashy headphones like the HDJ-2000s look really expensive so are much more likely to get stolen if some dodgy folk get into the party/booth/whatever. |
Josephina Hybarger 27.04.2012 | L. X |
Tova Duignan 27.04.2012 | That doesn't stop them from being great headphones though... |
Rolanda Clodfelder 27.04.2012 | But apparently the Senns look like
I surely do but in my mind now i really am at a dillema because as you said the 25s are the best choice but they look like hobo headphones :P
|
Candy Vardy 26.04.2012 | I had the Pioneer HDJ 2000's sold them, and bought a pair of custom Senn 25's. The Pio's are excellent headphones, but I didn't find them comfortable for me. So Far I'm loving the Senn's, they are amazing. I'd say try them both out if you can. It's all a matter personal preference. I say the Senn's. |
Tova Duignan 26.04.2012 | It depends on what have you gotten used to. |
Spencer Kilcoyne 26.04.2012 | Sennheiser HD25s or Shure SE425 |
Sulema Eshel 26.04.2012 | Reloop RHP-20 FTW! I had them next to a set of Senny 25s, running them of a dual output soundcard and A/B-ing them and there was very little difference soundwise or SPLwise. If I was to nitpick, the 25s were a little clearer on the mids, but it was VERY neglible. Heck.. I would have bought the 25s IF they were over ear, rather than on-ear, but they aren't, so I didn't. Seeing as the Reloops sounded very very close to the 25s, and I know how good the 25s are, I opted for the RHP-20s. I have no regrets - and I'm picky! Usually with other gear I have bought, I would have at least one entry in my buyer's remorse list after a month. So far nothing has put me off these headphones - I am loving them more now than when I bought them - doesn't usually happen like that for me Good isolation, detachable mini-XLR, cups that move backward and forward (i.e toward your eyes or neck), as comfy as silk pillows sitting on fluffy kittens (dead) sitting on a floating cloud and looks that I believe (IMHO) are the best out there - similar in looks to the overpriced Pio 2000's (don't tell me they are not overpriced... it's got those 7 letters emblazoned on them, and you always pay a markup for those letters !) Very happy with them, only possible issue is ruggedness/durability. You'll have to give me a year to test that one out. They do have metal in the hinges, but it appears that it is metal covered by plastic. That's my only worry, but only time will tell. They have already taken quite a few whacks though, mainly because when wearing them I forget that my head is now a few inches wider, so end up hitting them on train doors, speakers etc. That's my 2 sense (hearing & vision ). YMMV, but I doubt it. |
Tova Duignan 23.04.2012 | In Liverpool you can find music stores with headphones on show but here in crete we are not that lucky |
Khadijah Bucker 23.04.2012 | Ive been in all the music shops I can find in Liverpool and nowhere even had hd25's and they're popular for all musicians let alone dj's. |
Tova Duignan 23.04.2012 | I hope there would be a place where you could listen to them all and make your choice... wouldn't that be nice? |
Ashlea Retzlaff 23.04.2012 | i have hdj2000s. i use em for djing and producing. i had sony v6s but they broke easily. i would like the hd25s one day for their lightweight, but theres no point in getting them already owning the hdjs when other parts of my setup can use the $$ |
Latoria Ericsson 22.04.2012 | Technics RP-DH1200 All the way! |
Kami Sawan 22.04.2012 | Pioneer HDJ-500 WHITE |
Rolanda Clodfelder 22.04.2012 | Well they don't blend ... |
