What to get next...

Hey friends.

I'm fairly new to doing live sets. I have been producing music for about 3 years and I really want to do live sets. All I have is a laptop with Ableton Live, and a Launchpad. I have gotten really good with the launchpad by messing around and is believeing about buying another one and using them together, kinda like what Madeon is doing. I don't know really what else I want to get that would make my live sets amazing and fun for both the audience and me. I'm believeing about saving up for a XoneB4 or Xone:K2. I really don't like turntables because I find them pointless. Any cool things I could check out and maybe buy or should I save up for XoneB4 or Xone:K2.

Sorry if I sound a bit noobie, because I'm really new to this stuff only been research it for not that long.

Thanks!

Firstly, welcome to the community .
Second, never say that turntables are pointless.
Thirdly, you haven't explained what you want to buy - Saying you want something amazing and fun isn't going to narrow the search.

...something akai?

What are you missing for your sets? I imagine you could use some faders / pots / rotaries for more expression? Do you need to handle browsing? Do you want a mixer? What's your misic style?

DB4 means you are going for hardware effects + mixer. Xone 4D means you have a mixer and can control software effects. K2 menas controlling software effects with no mixer or limited software mixer.

Maybe you can start buying a korg nanokontrol to see what you like (knobs/faders/rotaries) without spending a lot of money. I know a few intense liveset artists using ONLY a nanokontrol and a small akai pad controller...
