Olimpia Briden 28.09.2013 | I can see mudo's point about dj'ing being elitist, pretty much |

Not everyone has the DIY ability to hack together their own custom controller, and boutique-style, customized DJ gear has ALWAYS been expensive (even if it was a tricked out turntable). You should be excited that companies are still willing to take risks with niche gear like this, so that there are other options out there then just the mass produced products from the major players. Sooner or later a company might make a product you like. If this thing is successful, it's because there is a demand for it (whether you want it or not). It won't be because "controllerism is the new fashion". I believe you want this product to fail because you don't want to believe that there IS a potential demand for stuff like this. I won't be buying one, because it doesn't suit my needs (and is quite expensive). But that doesn't mean that I hope innovative ideas like this are unsuccessful. My way of DJing is the best way --- FOR ME. But I'm not concerned when something comes along that wasn't made for me, and I don't care if everyone buys it up. It won't stop me from doing my thing. Some trends come and go, while others stick around. As long as you are passionate about your own craft, you shouldn't feel threatened just because other people are having fun using different gear. |

If its not for random people like this coming into the scene and making new things potentially shaking things up then where will innovation come from? With a traktor S4 mk2? Its a fully custom piece of gear , made to order, with crazy lights that are programable, it should be a premium just like any custom to made item. Now I agree the price is steep, but hell if its your cup of tea then go for it, its not mine after I heard the price as well. That said I don't want anyone to fail trying to follow a dream of offering something new. For some people custom work with custom controls is worth the premium. |
Keli Vandenbergh 28.09.2013 | I believe/hope it will be a fail... Ripoff and for that price will be a insanely message for the future of djing/controllerism IMHO... |
Klara Kinnebrew 27.09.2013 | Thank God I mix using Live... |

I would guess in a year I would be pissed off because I would need to change something about it based off of NI making some addition or change to Traktor. I change my setup around every year or so, and the ability to just sell my gear and pick something new up fairly cheap from NI or elsewhere just make this thing a bit too much in my book. |
Kellie Myrum 27.09.2013 | I would go for this one index.jpg Two channel mixer, 3-band EQ, gains, filters, four encoders for multiple functions, two monitor buttons and five performance buttons on each side. The amber button would be shift that while held down can turn other four buttons buttons in to bank selectors (basic transport, hotcue, and two banks of effects). Encoders would also follow the modifier value. |

Nedra Fresneda 27.09.2013 | That means you need a 2nd one Karl XD |
nayit ruiz jaramillo 27.09.2013 | I love it and I have to have one. Edit: damn, forgot to add FX knobs. |
Klara Kinnebrew 27.09.2013 | If it was built well, and it looks to be that with with the all AL construction, I would honestly pay that for a completely custom controller. |

Charline Dye 26.09.2013 | Thanks for the price DJWorx! This looks like a quality custom unit, and the price reflects it. Considering the CNC machine time for the top plate, custom annodizing, etc. etc. it's close to what I assumed it would be. Hopefully they will sell a lot and bring down the price some. |
Lannie Kutay 26.09.2013 | heres mine, simple. 2 jogs, 2 sets of eq, 2 faders, filters on top, track encoders in the top corners, and play pause index.jpg |
Dannie Dimora 26.09.2013 | umidi.jpg BTW, this is what i would do |
Lannie Kutay 26.09.2013 | i was in LOVE!!! then i heard the price....oh.... |
Dannie Dimora 26.09.2013 | $1050 $1050 $1050 I'm out i mean, i'm in.. but i'm out. Anyone remember the guy that made a create-your-own controller as a project for his design university and posted here on DJTT? Where's he gone? |
Renaldo Chansky 26.09.2013 | $1050. We've got the full story. |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 26.09.2013 | that looks pretty damn cool.. It will be much better when they get the drum pads, wonder what the price will be? |
Edythe Wandrey 26.09.2013 | I love the idea of letting your customers design their gear! |
