Zomo Case for Xone 4D "Review/Warning"

Simple review/warning:
The case is very poorly built and the Xone 4D doesn't fit.

Slightly longer review/warning:
On the front side: the right knob for the microphone level is inside the padding, the microphone XLR input cant be connected as the "cutout" in the case isn't deep enough and its the same with the headphone contacts.
(The answer I got from Mr Hans S

But i believe it's important! so never mind bumping back this thread when someone like me who had no choice but to resort in oversea gear buying, hoping for the best prices possible without getting ripped off/scammed/poor services.

I'm looking for an affordable cd player/laptop stand, looks like Zomo brand has it, hence stumbled upon this thread.

Bump again!

Was also looking up that case and luckily this thread came up practically firsr on google.

Surely I will never consider anything from that company. Threatening customers with legal action? What a joke! I study law in Switzerland and I can tell it's nothing more than an empty threat. Obvious, since this thread is still here

BOYCOTT SUCH BEHAVIOUR, BOYCOTT THIS COMPANY

Oh, Ive been away for too long, totally forgot this thread that I started.

First: Thank you Ean for not deleting it, over at Native it got closed.
Second: In the closed topic on NI the company that sold the case claim that "they had made an offer to exchange the case for free against an upcoming improved model", something I was never informed of.

To sum up, the old 4D case is still in my basement, I bought a UDG Turntable bag that I now use instead and it fits really nice actually... only downside is that I have to take it out of the case to use it... but the first case was really big anyway.

Rather than trying to sue their customers, they should ask for input to improve their products. Well at least this community knows better because of this thread. Good job for Ean for not allowing a bully manage his website and our community.

What a pain in the a"" of a company if this was any of the big boys eg thon, road ready, gator ect they would fix the problum and apologize. Amatures

I'm curious about how it turned out for the parts involved...
djlilleman, did you returned your case ?
Ean, they stopped contacting you to remove this thread?

Btw, congrats for not removing this, any other scarry webmaster or moderator would simply remove this thread and it would be the end of it, but you give djlilleman some space to express himself. I'm proud of our comunity leaders

I'm also glad this thread has popped back up as I Was about to buy one today! I have dealt with the company before and have had similar issues with there stuff.

I bought this bag - http://www.recordcase.de/zomo-digital-dj-bag_e.htm

It clearly states 'This Version has been specially built for Allen & Heath Xone 3D users and has a very nice Allen & Heath branding on the front.'

Well there is no way in hell a 3D/4D will fit in this bag, ever. It is not even close to fitting. And also mine certainly has no A&H branding on it either..

I believe this company needs to hire someone who has actually seen a 4D before...

I was just using google and found this old thread. Thanks for the head up. I decided to post something in the thread so we dont forget!!! Companies should be aware of their horrible product.

I am not a lawyer but I know many, and have some experience with contracts.

What are their claims, specifically? Are they claiming slander/libel? Cause, if so, they need to prove the OP and DJTT is KNOWINGLY lying about the claims they are making. Being no one is lying, I don't believe their claims will hold much water. But, regardless, what, exactly, are they saying? (that was a lot of commas)

08.07.2009
Any lawyers here in DJ TT land that can attest to the legality of their claim?

07.07.2009
Hi all,

Been awhile since i posted here... after reading this thread i am amazed that a company would actually make claims that the op and this community of doing an illegal act...from the pics alone anyone can see that op is telling the truth and that there is a design flaw. how can this company justify taking legal actions against him??? i was actually interested in some of the products that this company has but after reading this has made me believe twice buying from them.

@ ean i hope you told them to stick their request to delete this thread up their asses...

Lulz!! Well they are german. Maybe they are some kind of new nazi-esque group that like to bash on the sweeds. *shrug*

This company needs a serious lesson in international PR. They have contacted us know insisting that this thread be deleted. Did I miss the memo on the internet becoming a totalitarian regime?

Disclaimer: I agree that the cutouts should fit better, since having the cutout at all implies that you should be able to use the mixer in the case conveniently. And I believe it's great that you're warning everyone else about the wonky cutout etc.

Now, that said, a good friend of mind runs a sound/dj gear rental business. He insists that his mixers, cdjs, etc be taken out of the cases anytime they are used for air circulation. He's had renters use them otherwise and the heat issue has cause various problems with the gear , temporary and permanent.
