Djtt vci-100 Posted on: 08.05.2012 by Wanita Androsky Hello DJTT,I have been a member of this community for roughly a year, and in December (2011) I bought my VCI-100 from this community . I was told that this VCI-100 had the updated 1.4 Firmware. However, upon opening the VCI in preparation of the arcade mod, I realized that there was no 1.4 Firmware Chip. Seeing as how I purchased it informed that it was at 1.4 FW. I am extremely frustrated about this whole situation. This transaction was via PayPal What should I do? Better yet what can I do? Though I know it is my fault for not checking this sooner, I also was told it was at 1.4 FW. Could I get my money back? Whoever has any advice or ideas on what I can do it would be great! DJTT Rocks! | |

Frederic Acidera 08.05.2012 | I can make some mean quesadillas with Huitlacoche or cuitlacoche (both spellings have been accepted by the real academy of the spanish language) ...they're actually quite good! You can also get chips and salsa if you really need it. Although, not all gourmet restaurants will cater chips on the side. |

Classie Alvizo 08.05.2012 | lol yeah to confirm what people are saying, there is no visible "chip" that you solder or plug inside to upgrade the firmware, so you cant tell if its been upgraded by opening up as you have done. i assume what your referring to is the upgrade adaptor. This was a small adapter/circuit board that you plug into the VCI temporarily so that you can hook up a serial cable between the VCI and Computer to perform the firmware update (which is software that your installing) and then both the serial cable and the adapter/circuit board are removed again. k |

Nilsa Erben 08.05.2012 | I like gravy or vinegar on my chips, however it does not make them firmware 1.4 or otherwise...rather makes them soggy. Oh, and as proud almost ex-Canadian, I can tell you, if you get poutine west of Quebec city, its a FRAUD. It must contain squeaky fresh curds from the Charlavoix region or maybe Gaspe. |
Lilliana Perris 08.05.2012 | The chip (adapter) only allows you to update the Firmware. It will not remain in the device. Its software! So you will not have the FM Update Device in your VCI. |
Janyce Henningson 08.05.2012 | I like chips... |
Somer Vanstraten 08.05.2012 | Chip is only for the upgrade, there is no new chip inside. If it has got 1.4 you should be able to put it in disco mode Anyway do a research before accusing people. |
Marshall Aby 08.05.2012 | If you've got 1.4 then you should be able to make 'disco mode' happen |
Venetta Cawyer 08.05.2012 | I sure hope you understand what you bought before you go around accusing people of fraud. You cannot see what firmware it's running by looking at the chips inside. If someone with knowledge of this device could tell how to identify which FW the VCI is running, it would be awesomely appreciated. |
Wanita Androsky 08.05.2012 | No Chip is even in the VCI-100, I was sure to check. This is what bothers me so much, that he had to know there was no Firmware at all. |
Janyce Henningson 08.05.2012 | There is no "chip"? |
