So Who's ready for the zombie apocalypse?

I'm sure alot of you have heard of the dude in Miami eating that guys face off that they had to blast a couple of times to kill. Well now there's a guy who killed his roommate and ate his brain and heart. We all knew zombies were coming, are any of you prepared?

Welcome to the Netherlands, any blade larger than the width of the palm of the hand is prohibited. (Though you are allowed to have proper kitchen apparel. )

There was quite a scary zombie movie that was located in Africa one or two years ago, still need to watch it though.

This can only be a long term good thing for the economy. The post zombie restructuring is going to create so many new jobs, as well as need skilled labor to fill missing positions. I say bring on the zombies!

What the movies have taught me through the years is that South America is always spared from these kind of stuff. So yeah, I'll just sit back and enjoy a movie or something and watch the news from time to time.

There was an incident of a homeless person biting a student back when I was in University...

If Dead Rising has taught me anything it is to head for the mall, grab a lawn mower and run the zombies over.

I totally agree with Jojo in the fact you'll have to be ready to survive any way possible, even if it means killing other non-infected. Nail guns would be a good weapon but you'd need to be fairly close and a damn good aim. But I belive the virus when it happens will evolve over time, starting out blood borne then infecting the water and eventually air borne, but who knows. The community idea is good but kinda risky because you have more of a chance of someone just losing their mind and screwing everyone else up, I believe a small task force of competent individuals would be the best bet. Unless of course I had my zombie annihilation gear:

Wear this

with this

depends how the zombie virus spreads, if it's bloodbourne then if you can stay away from it you could easily outlast the zombie population as they aren't smart enough to make food only kill it so their life span would be relatively short and could be quarantined from the uninfected population, In this case bunking down in the side of a mountain sounds attractive, and although animal buggery doesn't appeal to me I guess I could have sex with a sheep or two during that time, there are some pretty hot looking sheep out there "I am half New Zealand afterall "

After a while eventually the zombies would become malnourashed and start canabilizing each other doing half your job for you... Although I predict that's where the two storey high mutant zombies from video games are unleashed, but if these games have taught me anything it's run around the opponent in circles and they can't touch you

If on the other hand the zombie virus is airbourne, then every one is screwed as it is only a matter of time before everyone becomes a zombie when they die, then it's hell for leather and you could have some fun with zombie killing, believe modified nailguns, chainsaws, home made sticky bombs, axe's, sharpened shovels you know just your everyday backyard psycho stuff that will quench the bloodlust bred in us from watching slasher porn movies like hostel and saw.

Just make sure you have the appropriate body armour and dynomite strapped on so when they catch you if you slip you can have the last laugh and won't turn into one.

P.S. don't forget twinky's, having those on hand could earn you some very valuable friends and allies.

In the case of zombie apocalypse it's not the zombies you need to worry about most. If you want to be a long term survivor you'll need to be able to kill living, breathing, non-infected humans. The way i see it you have two options for survival. Find a community that helps each other and commit to them or be completely solo. Solo will only really work in a very rural setting. The only problem with that is you're looking at states that have rough winters so you'll need to be prepared for that. If you go the community route expect that to be a little rough at first as people will want it to be a democracy and that shit's just not going to work.

Blades might be okay for a backup, but I would not rely on them as a sole means of defense. More than two "zombies" and you're screwed unless you're really good with it. One thing people don't believe about are nail guns. They're relatively quiet compared to a gun and it's not difficult to retrofit SCUBA tanks to them.

I predict it will be slow and at least 60% of the US population will die in the first few years. I also believe this will be something more akin to the plague, but compounded by overpopulation.

blades and crossbows are the way to go! Blades=silent and ammo less. Crossbow=silent and ammo can be re-used

If and when this does happen just believe logically. me and my family already have a location picked out kind of like a run to area in case some global catastrophe a brick structure fire place in side everything we need plus its all open around so if zombies are around they will be easily seen ... bows and arrows katana swords and guns if necessary but we already have all that so we r good to go....

I mean't for the deer to have babies so I can raise them for food lol. I'd deff have women to re-populate and I'd deff not have half human/deer babies, the last thing we need is a full scale DeerHuman/Zombie war.
Jonathan Chiuchiolo
05.06.2012
don't you believe you should maybe take some woman to have sex with, sure they will slow you down a little and cost you some food rations, but to resort to having sex with deer to have what you call "babies" is just an abomination and inhuman, if that's the post apocalyptic world your proposing then I choose to die like a human, then a few more times as a zombie chasing the abbominations you doe births for you in your mountainside bunker of sin.
Erich Vallabhaneni
05.06.2012
First thing im gonna do, load up on dry food items by the case. Then make traps and stuff to take out wildlife for more food. Make sure I have plenty of ammo for the guns, dig a hole in the side of a mountain, make super cave fortress and capture a few deer, they have deer babies in the mountain cave and bam, I win zombie apocalypse.
Yong Aptekar
02.06.2012
Ha its not bad here. Not as bad as "they" want you to believe. I live only a couple hours from the boarder to the states, and we get 35 degree (Celsius) in the summer and -25 in the winter.

But yeah, they are gonna be fast until the start freezing/rotting. Then they are gonna slow down to the point where we can catch them on bikes.

Everyone forgets though, nobody wins in a zombie apocalypse. If the zombies don't get you, paranoid people, disease from rotting bodies, the government/military/lack of food, lack of electricity etc. is all gonna get you eventually. Not me though, I got a plan hahahahah.

Ah, I get what you're saying. It's more likely we'll get zombies the same as in movies like 28 Days/Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead (the remake), Zombieland etc that are quick moving, so with all the running I can't see the cold being a major disadvantage to them. As you said they're dead/deadish so they don't have a threshold for pain which means they won't have to stop to rest which means the cold won't effect them unless it's freezing temperatures.

Tbh I can't really comment on weather conditions in Canada and here in the UK we don't get much snow... just rain.

I also believe I watch to many movies...

You boys any your guns.......come on up to Canada if things get too hairy down there, we got lots of trees, and the cold will slow them down and make it more fun. I've been waiting for this for a long time.

My plan is to pretty much prepare at the first sign of the zombie uprise. Get a machete, form a squad, grab as many guns and ammo as I can get a hold of. If there is no time to prepare, I'll probably grab some gas, matches, and junk food, Ladder to the roof of my house and buy myself a couple days. There is no way zombies can climb up to the roof after I kick the ladder out.
